Pearl Jr.

Pearl Jr. is an Activist. Through her activism she has been a radio talk show guest on more than 100 radio shows. She is a regular guest commentator on conservative talk radio giant KABC talk radio as a dissenting voice that fearlessly and controversially speaks up on Black issues, such as Tookie Williams, Bill Cosby, Andrew Young, and Michael Jackson. She has been on The Larry Elder Show, The Al Rantel Show, The Michael Medved Show, The Bev Smith Show, The Tavis Smiley Show, Stevie Wonder’s KJLH, Radio One’s KKBT, Christian radio stations, and a myriad of Internet radio programs. Pearl Jr.’s powerful retort has been heard by millions and is relentlessly in support of Black issues. She was listed as a part of the New Black Leadership Regime in Black Enterprise Magazine.

Pearl Jr. is an Entrepreneur. Her company, Elbow Grease Productions, produced the talk show, TRUtalk: Straight Outta LA that aired on Los Angeles television to over a million people five nights per week and is now streaming online at: www.TRUTalk.us. Due to this, Elbow Grease Productions was the only Black-owned media credentialed to cover the Michael Jackson Trial and produced the DVD, Behind the Scenes at the Michael Jackson Trial.

Pearl Jr. is an Author. She has published three books: The Climate: A Perspective Unvisited, a chronicle of the development of the races based on indigenous habitats. How To Tame A Dawg: The Pussykat Ain’t Doing It led to her most impressive and critically acclaimed book, Black Women Need Love, Too! (www.BlackWomenNeedLoveToo.com). Both books deal with repairing conflicts between Black men and Black women in love and social relationships.

Pearl Jr. is a Speaker. She has been the Mistress of Ceremony at over 100 events, such as the Malcolm X Festival, Honor Thy Father, The African Marketplace, and Black Business Expo (combined attendance 165,000). She has established a name for herself as a force to be reckoned with in Los Angeles and has expanded her popularity nationwide.

Pearl Jr.’s articles and activism have been published in several newspapers, such as the Los Angeles Times, Our Weekly, Watts Times, LA Sentinel and featured on every major television broadcast news (ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX) program in Southern California.

Pearl Jr. holds a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree that was completed in three years with honors at California State University, Northridge (1989).
