This article is sort of a response to a few writers on here that think they should expand misinformation from a dedicated liberal ideology. Most of what they write is false or at least half-truths. They are easily exposed if one would simply study history, especially the history of our country and political system. Of course most people won’t do that for a number of reasons; they don’t like history, they are taught from biased renditions, can’t get away from the TV, or they are stuck in their deceptions and don’t care to know the truth.
If we don’t know our history, anybody can trick us into thinking what they say is truth, and we will never know any better and, unfortunately, can control our thinking and our lives and eventually destroy us.
I highly recommend reading William Federer’s books on history, both American and global. He uses actual quotations and writings, which will expose how our government became so corrupted and definitely set our minds straight on how our government should be run.
Certain people today are warning us that we are being deceived into becoming a socialist country and are attempting to guide us into total government control. It started decades ago.
I temporarily lived next to a family that moved here from Poland when it was a socialist country. He and his wife ran a small shop there, selling wares of different sorts. It was common for the competition to report to the government that another company wasn’t giving the government the money they were supposed to. In turn, the government investigators (think IRS) would come in to look through the books. He was never found guilty but would be told to “offer” some money to the state to keep his business running.
His family finally had enough and moved here to the US, legally. Eventually, they were able to open a small restaurant, which the whole family worked at, usually up to sixteen hours a day. No vacations, time off, with only the occasional holiday. When it came time to retire, they sold the restaurant, and the IRS came in and took over $800,000.
Did the IRS offer assistance when the restaurant went through lean times or offer a replacement when one of the family fell sick? Nope. He opened my eyes to the fact that we live under a similar socialist government in diguise that uses the IRS to steal people’s income and prosperity.
Do you know, our Supreme Court is supposed to keep Congress and our President in check so as not to do things that are unconstitutional? Did you know that the Supreme Court told President Andrew Jackson, the first Democrat president, he could not remove Native Americans from their treaty land in Florida and Georgia so settlers could search for gold?
Read the Trail of Tears, as Jackson ignored the Supreme Court and did it anyway. Tens of thousands of men, women, and children lost their lives as they were forced from their homes, towns, and businesses to walk over a thousand miles to Oklahoma.
In about 1913, politicians also ignored the Supreme Court when they judged an income tax was unconstitutional.
I am not a practicing Democrat or Republican. Since back in my twenties, I started voting for the Constitution Party after discovering the history of the two parties. In my humble opinion, the Constitution is the only party that should be running our government. Here are their fundamental mandates.
The Constitution Party differs from other political parties in several important ways:

The Source of Rights. The Constitution Party believes that the Creator bestowed upon Man certain unalienable rights.

The Proper Role of Government. The Constitution Party believes that the proper role of government is to protect and defend these unalienable rights. Governments do not create rights.

The Basic Right of Life. All humankind are afforded the basic right to life, whether pre-born or post-birth, subject to due process of law when one person commits a violation of rights (crime) against another.

The Basic Right of Liberty. All humankind are afforded the basic right to think and act according to their conscience, as long as it does not violate the pre-existent rights of another person.

The Basic Right of Private Property. For Life and Liberty to be maintained, all humankind are afforded the right to own and control private property.

The Constitution is the Supreme Law of the Land. All laws, rules, regulations must be weighed against constitutional restraints, according to the Original and Actual Intent of the Founders. All international treaties must also be weighed in the same manner.

Defund and Dismantle. The Constitution Party calls for the defunding and dismantling of all unconstitutionally-authorized agencies and departments.

Taxation. The Constitution Party calls for the repeal of the 16th Amendment, and a return to a constitutionally-authorized means of funding the federal government.

Return Balance to Government. The Constitution Party calls for a repeal of the 17th Amendment to restore the proper role of the Senate as representatives of state governments in Congress.

Implementation of the Tenth Amendment. The Constitution Party calls upon state legislators to reject all unconstitutional federal laws and mandates through legal and legislative means.
Both of the two parties currently in power have consistently enacted legislation to expand the unconstitutional powers of the federal government, and continue to do so no matter which party holds the majority.
The Constitution Party believes the first level of government exists in the individual and in the family. Second is local government. Third are state governments. Fourth is the federal government acting as an agent of the states in very limited spheres of influence. Admittedly, I don’t agree with all of their directives, and perhaps many readers don’t either, but then nothing is perfect. To rein in the over-bloated federal government, with their out-of-control spending, should be our first priority. It is apparent Trump may be the first president ever to be successful in getting the job done.
When I was in the corporate world, each year our CEO directed the departments to come up with a 10% reduction on expenses, without layoffs, unless people were not doing their job. Of course, everyone went into a whining pity party that there was no way to reduce their expenses by 10%. Funny thing, we did, and noticed no difference except maybe doing things different or more efficiently. So far, the opposed to Trump have done nothing but whine through megaphones at their pity parties.
There is absolutely no reason why our local, state, and federal governments can’t reduce spending by at least 10% or more each year. We just might get out of debt and quit wasting billions of taxpayer dollars on interest on the debt, among other items.
However, the socialist wannabes don't want that, and instead keep spending until they will take all of our property and income to pay the debt. Study history!
