The protection plan
One of the most powerful revelations that one can get and must get is that God has a plan for your life. Many are the plans that we have conceived to achieve, but God’s plan is the ultimate. The understanding comes when we come to the point of knowing, acknowledging who He is, and His purpose for our existence.
So many times Believers quote the scripture, Jeremiah 29:11 in the King James version, “For I know the thoughts that I think towards you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” One day I found and read the Message version, which says, “I know what I am doing. I planned it all out. Plans to take care of you, Plans to give you the future that you hope for.” The first sentence captured and settled everything for me to submit to the plan. Since He is the Creator, Jehovah Bara, who has created everything that is seen and unseen, He knows His plan.
There are many things and systems that man is yet to comprehend, and is still left with puzzling questions. His plan has plans within the plan. How many times have we planned and it did not work out? Do we even understand why? Is it because our plan is contrary to the Master’s plan? There is even a plan for mistakes.
Isaiah 14:27, the Message version says, “Exactly as I planned it will happen. Follow my blueprints. It will take shape.” Who can come against or stop the plan of the Almighty? “O Lord, all powerful have made these plans. No one will stop me now.” CEV. Therefore, if you take time to think about everything and every season that you have gone through, it was all in His plan. In spite of what you went through and came out of, He had a plan and was right there all the time. His plan is good and to give the very desires of your heart, the ones that He has given once the revelation has been received and the truth of your identity.
It is important to recognize that the enemy is against God’s plan and will employ various strategies and tricks to prevent the manifestation. The Bible gives several instances of the enemy’s attack against the people of God. In Numbers, chapter 22 is the account of the plan devised where the enemy recruited and attempted to pay someone to curse God’s people. Because of fear of accomplishment, the plan was to contain and stop the progress, as if to curse them was the only way.
Seeking to employ Balaam, a man who was known for the authority of his spoken word, who had a relationship with God, was the strategy. In their attempt to persuade him twice with riches, each time Balaam simply asked that they spend the night while he sought God. God came on both occasions, but the first time He asked who were these men with him and the purpose for the visit.
After Balaam explained, God instructed him not go with them the first time. However, the second time, God allowed him to go, but Balaam was only allowed to speak what God said. There is so much that could be said about this. One thought is that if you had a relationship with God to talk to him, wouldn’t you know and understand whom the people were that He had chosen to protect?
Secondly, even though God released Balaam to go, he sent help in the form of an angel adversary. It did not matter what path Balaam attempted to take, the angel stood in the path and there was no way around. Finally, God opened his donkey’s mouth to speak and it was only after the donkey spoke that Balaam’s eyes were opened to see the angel. The angel informed Balaam that the donkey saw him the three times that Balaam struck the donkey. The donkey saved his life because the angel was about to kill him.
The attacks that the enemy devises against Believers is because we are a threat to his plan and we make progress into the territory that he fights to keep. God sends us help because it is a part of His plan that we succeed. The stages of our lives were designed, prepared, and written before we even took a breath to live one day. The price for this protection, this insurance, was the blood of Jesus Christ. Know who you are and whose you are.
But God is not against them, so I cannot speak against them either! The Lord has not asked for bad things to happen to these people. So I cannot do that either.
Numbers 23:8 MSG
For they planned evil against You; they conceived a mischievous plot which they are not able to perform.
Psalm 21:11 AMPC
There is no one wise enough to make a plan that can succeed if the Lord is against it.
Proverbs 21:30 ERV
