I bitterly regret the treatment you received on behalf of my country. Rest assured that the man who calls himself our president does not and never will represent every individual in this country, and that especially includes me. Unlike many in the United States I have always known you can't disguise a skunk by painting its white stripe black and clamping my nose with a clothes pin. I have also always known that skunks have a nasty habit of carrying and spreading rabies among non-inoculated animals, and thus I've had the good sense to avoid them at all costs. Unfortunately that doesn't stop the spread of the disease among those who choose not to recognize the skunk for what it is.
You, sir, are the kind of man who should be leading my country. You are befitting of the title President. You are a true man of honor and indomitable courage who chose to remain with his people and fight for freedom and democracy, and to preserve your national identity. You have not shamed your country by dancing attendance on dictators and tyrants. You have not proven yourself an unmitigated fool every time you opened your mouth. You have provided the world with a shining example of what it truly means to be “great.”
Our common enemy militarily invaded your country while his invasion of mine has been insidious. Like a master puppeteer, he controls his spineless puppets who in turn control the feeble masses who choose not to recognize the one who truly holds the strings. But, Mr. President, I am the daughter, grand-daughter, niece and friend of veterans and active service members who have pledged to defend the Constitution of the United States, and I have given my own pledge to protect it at all costs. I am an American because I believe in the same dream that was shared by men and women who, like you, were willing to risk it all in the name of liberty. I am an American by right of the Constitution. And I was inoculated at birth.
There is even a more insidious plan underway than forcing the rest of the world to pay for our generosity in the past keeping the world from another world war. The increasing gap between the rich and the poor creating a feudal environment not seen since the middle ages.
You are more patriotic than all of the voters who voted for a tax cut that is more like a scam. And the promised reduced inflation that it hasn't happened at all. While wrecking our government structure and support for the 40% of Americans you are disabled in one way or another making it hard for them to compete in the trickle down economy.
I applaud Mr. Zelenskyy, too, for his courage. Remembering that if France hadn't come to the rescue with their fleet and support from Lafayette to the Continental Army, we would still be a member of the Commonwealth of the United Kingdom. Instead of great country already, the United States of America… and the world… the protector of the world, not its destroyer by fear, hate and ignorance.
