Barnabas Paper 

We as the people of God are being enlightened every day. The light is getting brighter and brighter for those that choose to walk with God. Sad to say, that those who won't believe are falling further and further into the darkness. God told us to be the light in this world.

Matthew 5:16 in the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in Heaven.

As we take our steps day by day we are finding out that our steps are being directed by God.

Psalm 139:16b All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.

When I seek God's kingdom first then I realize that all I need will come to me.

Matthew 6:33 but seek first His kingdom and His righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well.

Do you think that God could be calling us to maturity?

Hebrews 6:1a Therefore let us leave the elementary teachings about Christ and go on to maturity.

How many times do we see people here in the U.S.A. that have been taught about God all their lives; yet they are walking in ways that are not pleasing to God. It is because they are not looking to God by reading the Bible and hanging around His people. Fellowship with God's true believers is of necessity. If we don't come among other believers then our light becomes dimmer and dimmer until it finally is snuffed out. We have a sense of accountability to others when we are with them. It's like when a friend is with  their bestfriend they want to do right by them.They don't want to disappoint them by cheating or stealing or lying to them. We want to focus on the importance of becoming mature in God. The following verse makes it clear to us that we need to imitate those who are faithful and end up inheriting what is promised to them.

Hebrews 6:10-12 God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them. We want each of you to show this same diligence to the very end, in order to make your hope sure. We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised.

When we see to it that we become mature in God then we can prepare the Way of the Lord. Here are some scriptures to look up. 

Psalm 119:130, Matthew 5:14, Proverbs 20:27 and Psalm 85:13.
