Can your faith in God be shaken? I know that I have trusted in God many years now. My life has been shaken up by many trials. Hebrews 12:27,28 And this word, yet once more, signifies the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain. Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. Upsets in life can take their toll on us. We do not see things the way God sees them, oh so often I wish that I could. Proverbs 3:5,6 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. I must always keep in mind that God has a plan for me. Jeremiah 29:11, 1 Corinthians 2:9, 10. His plan is always a good one. It is divine and unique to each one of us. That plan can only be followed if we know the master of the plan and communicate with Him. We are the temple of God. Knowing that I am the temple of God and that God lives inside me helps me keep a check on what I allow to be inside my body. This not only includes what I eat or drink but what kind of words I speak; my self talk. How do I speak to myself? Do I have a good, positive attitude with who I am or do I degrade myself? My attitude needs to be positive as God made both you and I as precious treasures. 1 Peter 2:4 To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious. We need to treat ourselves with respect and care. God wants us to be kind to ourselves. Your faith in God will not be shaken if you know within your heart that He loves you. He accepts you just the way you are, and you can encourage yourself with that fact. Trust in Him and love the way that He told us to. Love your neighbor as you do yourself, love yourself today. Leviticus 19:18, Luke 10:27.
