This month we will read about a giving heart. Giving should be a joy for anyone to practice doing. If you refresh others then you will be refreshed.

(A Giving Heart)
Sometimes I wish I had more money so I could give more gifts to others. Handling my finances can prove to be very stressful. I look to the Lord for instruction on whom and where to give my money. Then I find myself at peace about finances. When we give to others then we receive; not necessarily from those we give to. Proverbs 11:25 NIV A generous man will prosper; he who refreshes others will himself be refreshed. Proverbs 11:25 KJV The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself. When we give gifts sometimes it is given with a sacrifice. It is good to give even when you don't have much to give. When you give and it is hard to let go of your possessions then it has more value. It means more to the one that receives from you when they know you are not wealthy. When we look at the widows giving in the bible we see that the Lord valued what the widow gave more than what the rich and wealthy people were giving. Luke 21:1-4 and Mark 12:41-44. Verse 43b says Verily I say unto you, that this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury. Looking at this next verse of scripture in Ecclesiates we need to see that we should not look at our troubles or at the winds of trouble. If you do then you will not plant seeds and if you look at the clouds you will not reap. Ecclesiates 11:4 He that observeth the wind shall not sow; and he that regardeth the clouds shall not reap. Did you know that the opportunity to give is a gift that is given to you? Giving should be a joy for anyone to practice doing. Even forgiving others is a gift you can give to someone. Luke 6:37,38 Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven. Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.
