God's given me many blessings, & I must thank Him for them.

My twin sister, Karen, & I were blessed with life. 42 years ago (soon to be 43, God's Will be done), God allowed us to be born. Karen & I were born three months early...I don't know exactly what we weighed, but we were tiny & not expected to live. Both of us survived. Thank You, God.

We were blessed with wonderful parents, who stayed together, who raised us together, who provided us with food, shelter, & above all, love. Thank You, God.

We have a brother & two older sisters. Although we don't always get along, Thank You, God.

I've got to thank God for my "twinkie," Karen (& don't she hate it when I call her that!! But I'm glad she's MY "twinkie")...I'm so thankful she is my twin sister. Most of the time, we get along great. You see one, usually you'll see the other. We were apart for 17 years & it was hard...I'm grateful we're together again. Thank You, God.

We were blessed with health. Growing up, especially being so premature, we were exceptionally healthy. We had the usual childhood illnesses, but nothing severe. We developed arthritis & other problems the older we got, but it could be so much worse...there but for the Grace of God, go I. Thank You, God.

He's given me breath. (I sometimes say, "Any morning you wake up above ground is a good day.") Thank You, God.

He's given me a brain. Sight. Hearing. Speech. Thank You, God.

Although I may be in pain all of the time (because of a bad back & degenerative arthritis), God gives me the strength to carry on...I'm able to work. Thank You, God.

He's given me friends. Thank You, God.

He's given me a talent...until September 11, I really didn't know what that was. He's opened my creativeness & He's allowed me to write poetry & stories that express how I feel...good, bad, angry, sad, happy...before, I kept all of my emotions inside. Now, I can release them onto paper or on the Internet, & don't feel so stressed out all of the time. Thank You, God.

He's given me a job. It may not be the highest paying job, or even the best one, but I love it & am grateful to be working (especially with the economy being the way it is). Thank You, God.

He's given me shelter. Thank You, God.

He's given me food. Thank You, God.

He's given me clothing. Thank You, God.

He's given me LIFE. Salvation. I believe that He is the One True God. I believe that His Son, Jesus, was born of a virgin, lived as a man, was crucified, died & rose again three days later to be at His Father's right hand side, to live & rule forever. Jesus took my sins onto Himself & was put to death for ME. For ALL mankind. Without Him, I'd be doomed. None of us are perfect, ALL of us have sinned. But God loved me (& you) so much, that He gave His Only Begotten Son, & if we believe in Him, we shall not perish & will have everlasting life. THANK YOU, MOST OF ALL, FOR THIS BLESSING.
