A call to all those that are concerned about the welfare of the black community

Hear ye, Hear ye!

The time has come for us a group of people to wake up from our social and spiritual sleeping and slumbering.

I don't want to give the impression that other groups of people are excluded from my concern, however as a black male, I feel obligated to address the ills of my peoples.

For far too long we have experienced the injustice and mistreatment of others, simply because of thier prejudices. So I find it very troubling that now we have turned on each other with this same injusice and mistreatment of self.

When will we realize that a kingdom that is divided will ultimately fall. The messed up thing is that we are still considered as the under dogs, (so to speak). In almost every country that we, (Black people), reside in, excluding the countries that are ran and governed by us, we are considered the lower class.

So it baffles me why we don't unite our resources together so that we can better equipt ourselves from the majorities ignorance. I have often marvelled about; and admired the plight of the Jewish people. Here are a group of people that have undeniably endured tribulations and attrocities over the past centries. However; they have always seemed to prosper.

I believe this is because of two simply but vital reasons. One; is because of their sense of dependency on God. They believe, as well as myself; that their God's chosen people. See when one truly trust's God, although obstacles come your way, we know that God himself will some how bring us through.

Another reason for their prosperity, is because of the way they refuse to forget their history. To this day the Jewish people commemorate things that were observed several of centries ago by thier forefathers. They pass these traditions to their children, and subsequently they have a love and a sense of UNITY within their comunity; that imminently propels them. We as a people must return to GOD.The black race has also endured countless tribulations and attrocities and have many things to be greatful about.

It is important that we don't forget that God has delivered us from our bondage. Look at how many of our people in years prior didn't have the opportunity and freedom to do what we are allowed to do.

Are we now going to play the fool? Are we now going to destruct our community instead of building it up? Are we now going to be envious of our brothers and sisters when they are striving to better themselves? Are we now going to physically, mentally and emotionally abuse our mothers, sisters, wives and daughters? Are we now going to abandon our children, leaving them to be treated as step children by the powers that be?

Come on yall, we have to do better than that if we plan to prosper and excel. It's either we stand together or we will all fall divided! Although the western hemisphere is experiencing peace right now, a large number of kids are at war. Genocidal war has plagued our streets; taking the lives of our children. We can no longer afford to sit by selfishly in our homes while our children are senselessly dying. How much more innocent blood is going to be shed before we realize that the situation is out of control?

I would like to take this opportunity to ask everyone in the community to get involved. Even if it's just informing your children about the reprucussions of gang violence. Everyone can play a part and should get involved. Who knows the life you save, might be your own...
