After my book signing in Sierra Madre, CA, Penelope, an imaginative puppeteer friend, and I walked across the street to Starbucks. In the street was a brown sock. It looked as if it had been hurriedly pulled off. Then a few steps away was its partner. I said to Penelope, “I didn’t know I blew someone’s socks off, and all the way across the street!”

Event occurs at a large gorgeous residence
in Altadena at the foot of the San Gabriel Mountains.

This very special Artists Helping Artists (Aha!) Imagination Salon, Artists Networking and Drum Circle is open to ALL artists, creatives, musicians, environmentalists, educators and other social catalysts. Come lend your heart and your creative vision to the Voices of Humanity. This event includes sharing of voices and visions through art, music, networking and a special drum circle to end the event.

LOCATION OF EVENT

Voices of Humanity takes place at 2138 Mendocino Lane, Altadena, CA 91001. (off of Allen St). Phone is (626) 836-3200. It occurs from 7pm to 11pm on Fri April 25, 2008. Event is $10 donation with a dish. No dish is $15 and you get to partake in the food.

ARTIST SHARING VOICES AND VISIONS...
All those in attendance at the event may bring business cards and fliers to network. A table will be available for artists and organization leaders to set out fliers, business cards and portfolios. Attending visual artists, photographers and painters may bring, set out and share portfolios there. Poets, spoken word artists, songwriters and other performers or dancers may request to perform (see RSVP below) during the Imagination Salon portion which starts at 7:30pm). Percussionists and drummers may bring drums for the Drum Circle portion which starts at 9:30pm. Doors open at 6:45. Come early for a seat in the main ballroom at the home.

TO RSVP OR REQUEST TO PERFORM
A large group is expected for the event so RSVP early if you wish to attend. Also those who plan to attend and would like to perform for the group, MUST do so early by email to Boomer at TheArtistsLine.cs.com to get on the list. Performance time will range from 5 to 10 minutes depending on the number of performers on the list.(See back of this flyer)
