Tribute to the Columbia Crew

The Columbia crew was relatively inexperienced. Only three of the seven had flown in space before: the shuttle's commander, Rick Husband, Michael Anderson, and Kalpana Chawla.

"These men and women assumed great risk in the service to all humanity,' the president said.
