The Europeans fought for centuries among them and only after World War II and with the American help they started to understand that cooperation does not kill their people but makes them prosper.  The war will not be won because Israel or the Palestinians want it but it can be won only together with both parties and all Arab States when these are ready for it. This war is not necessarily against the Palestinians. I don=t believe that the Israelis or the Palestinians have a strong man, who has the backing of his people and who can sign any peace treaty. 

If some Israelis and ms Condoleezza Rice suggest a unilateral retreat, this is neither realistic nor safe.  If many Palestinians are suffering, this is due to the miscalculation of a number of Arab leaders who didn’t have any foresight.   Furthermore it was a huge error to let Palestinian children grow up in camps. They should have been absorbed immediately in the Arab countries. 

On the other hand one should not forget that the Israelis living in Israel are the children of refugees from the concentration camps, the children from former communist countries who suffered from war, oppression and deprivation without forgetting the children whose parents were expelled from Arab countries such as Egypt, Iraq, Libya, Syria and other countries.  If we let these two people continue to fight, we should then expect that this fight will last not months or years but centuries. One should read and understand that the Middle East is neither Europe nor Asia or America; it has its own way of life and its own values.  It takes a few generations to educate them to live in peace with their neighbors, be they Jews or Arabs.  This task is not incumbent on Israel, or America alone,

1) it is the responsibility of the World War II nations which created this tragic situation to begin with.  Both Jews and Arabs became the victims, as a consequence.

2) It is also the responsibility of the Arab countries which sought and fought unsuccessfully to destroy Israel.  In my view the European countries are at the origin of today=s situation and they should stop blaming Israel or the Arabs, as their past is not a good example for any moral values.  They should once and for all stop their intrigues.   If there is anyone to blame, they should blame themselves.  The Israelis and the Palestinians should unite together and demand from all European countries compensation for the damage caused to them there during centuries.
