We know that Georgian President Saakashvili is an allied of the United States and has contributed by sending 2000 soldiers to Iraq. To understand what was going on we should ask these questions:
1. Did Mr Saakashvili inform the Bush administration of his plan to take back the Georgian province South Ossetia? 
2. Why did Saakashvili choose to regain this province now?
3. What did he have in mind, to show the world that the Russians are not human and not democrats as they pretend?  He should have known that the Russians would react quickly and harshly.  Did he count on our help?  These are questions which have to be answered.  

We know that violence attracts violence.  It reminds us the large-scale wave which swept part of Russia in 1881–1884 and killed innocent people without defense which we saw in history and movies.  Seeing the sweeping of the Russian thanks, the canons, the trucks full of soldiers eager to kill and the fire coming from the bombs dropped from the planes; the tanks and artillery, the devastated houses, streets, trees, and the image of innocent people running everywhere, the wounded young and elderly people, not knowing what is happening to them gives me the shivers and reminds me of World War II .

I see no excuse for this savagery which kills innocent human beings for no reason or because their leaders were not clear-sighted.  We fear a nuclear Iran and its proxy. Seeing this ravage we should also fear the Russian’s hasty decision to devastate Georgia without warning, and to overkill. 

I cannot help but notice that nothing has changed since WWII. In my view, the Russians’ so called human dignity lost its value and its spiritual leverage. 

It is also clear that despite the so called progress, human beings have not reached their aspired goal. 

How can we forget what the Russian just did to Georgia? In fact the main purpose of this Russian onslaught is maybe a pretext not only to deprive Georgia of its provinces South Ossetia and Abkhazia, but also to take advantage of the tumult, in order to recover Russia’s Georgian strategic base of Batumi on the Black Sea, which was supposed to be returned to Georgia in 2007 and to gain a foothold at Turkey’s back door. Furthermore, Russians can now control the Kazakhstan / Armenia / Azerbaijan / Turkmenistan gateway while the USA is plunged in the election.
