When we find the cause why Fannie Mae and Freddy Mac took the bad mortgages which we elegantly call sub-prime loans, then we will find who is at fault and who is behind this mess. I do not understand why banks have to lend money for mortgages against their own security rules and against their will.  I do not believe that any responsible juridical institution have forced the bank to accept a bad mortgage.  If this was the case, the banks should defend themselves by bringing the matter to the public. To put the blame on anyone without proof is wrong and unfair.  If Acorn has intimidated the banks into giving loans against bad mortgages, as rumor has it, then the bank should divulge the truth and let the public decide and judge, so that the public may vote with full conscience and not based on false impressions or false accusations.  The reputation of the United States Democracy is at stake.
