I watched the summit that you initiated and to which you invited the leaders of the Democrats and the Republicans to take part and to find a common ground for the health care reform.  As a senior citizen I must admit that you were not presidential as a host.  Particularly when Senator McCain said:
"I hope that would be an argument for us to go through this 2,400-page document, remove all the special deals for the special interests that favor the few and treat all Americans the same ... so that they will know that geography does not dictate what kind of health care they would receive,"
you mentioned to Mr. McCain, that they're no longer campaigning. And you added:

"The election is over,"

This answer seemed arrogant to me and lacking tact, diplomacy and generosity. And certainly it must have seemed that way to senator McCain who answered with a smile:

 "I'm reminded of that every day,"  

 Mr. President, are you the president of the Democrats or of the American people? In any case it seemed to me, whith all respect, that you are entirely disconnected from the American people.
