Why are the Arabs suddenly protesting all at the same time, without any planning and without consideration for what could happen, like a blind person walking without even a stick?

 

Today someone mentioned that we are a noble nation, as we save everyone who is in trouble.

 

I often hear the opinion, that if we had not interfered in Libya with our power, Kaddafi would have slaughtered all the protesters.  What proof do we have to justify this statement?

 

I learned from my young age on that we should first care about our own lives. My dad used to say, “Do not enter a dark street at night without light, as someone may ambush you.”

 

From the beginning I didn’t believe in the veracity of these claims. Did anyone see the smoking gun? Even if we did not like Kaddafi, what right do we have to interfere? Are we looking for a diversion to forget our economical failure?

 

America is struggling to maintain the existing jobs while the unemployment rate is growing every month and beside this, we have many problems to deal with as it is.

 

Where did this news come from, that Kaddafi was about to slaughter all the protesters?  Why would Kaddafi suddenly want to this? Didn’t the protesters provoke him? They protested for three days in a row - he warned them to stop. The protesters knew that they are not in a democratic country. If they want to challenge the ruling regime they know they are taking risks and they would have to suffer the consequences. Are we the ones who enticed them to take to the street? Even we would not be allowed to protest for three days in a row without a permit!

 

 Why should America suddenly have to protect unknown people who took the risk of revolting? If we want to save people, there are many places where people were slaughtered by the millions and we did not move one finger. Example - the Jews and the Gypsies etc during WWII, and in our time, in Africa - many tribes were slaughtered and we didn’t lift a finger. 

 

Even if we are eager to create a democratic world - we are putting people in utmost danger. No, we have no right to encourage anyone who wishes to transform his country into a democratic state without warning of the danger. We will be responsible for the loss of lives. 

 

Arab protesters, don’t count on outside help if you cannot do it yourselves! Your lives could be in danger and you should know that any human being’s life is precious and sacred. Until now all the excuses to go to war have been proven false.

 

The writer of this lines know what war is, be it during WWII or even in our time.
