The irony of recent developments
Can my Arab friends make up their mind?
If they like Obama, it’s fine with me.However, they always say that they like to have a democratic government. But through all the revolutions, Obama gave them Muslim Brotherhood governments. And now he reinforces the Muslim Brotherhood, which includes the Hamas, as Mr Morsi keeps saying that Hamas are our brothers. One day after the Inauguration, President Obama is giving Egypt 20 F16’s which cost the tax payer one billion US$. Now, my friend, you understand why I wrote this article. How can you dream having Tunisia and Egypt as democratic states?
As we read in the news, Hamas leader Khaled Meshaal is making his first ever visit to the Gaza Strip, and vowed on Saturday never to recognize Israel, he pledged to destroy Israel, and vowed not to yield an inch to Israel.
When I speak with my Tunisian and Egyptian friends, they are telling me they were better off with the old regime, as what they are having now is worse.

President Obama's Cairo speech was nothing short of an earthquake — a distortion of history, an insult to the Jewish people, and an abandonment of very real human-rights victims in the Arab and Muslim worlds. It is not surprising that Arabs and Muslims in a position to speak were enthusiastic. It is more surprising that American commentators are praising the speech for its political craftiness, rather than decrying its treachery of historic proportions.
