How many articles do we need to convince Obama not to attack, as until now we don’t know for sure who committed the chemical weapons crime in Syria. There is so much information flying around everywhere. Yes, a crime was committed, but no one until now could convince us whom to attribute this crime to. There is a lot of noise pretending to know who did it . Some say it is this group, some say it is Al-Qaida. There are 9 different groups fighting each other and against Assad’s army.
Now, one should ask oneself who would have a reason to do such a crime? I could not convince myself that Assad did it. I could not connect the dots. If Assad committed this terrible act, we should ask, why he should do something like this. What advantage would he have, killing women and children? He is an educated man. Why should he do such a terrible crime? These killings would not give Assad any reasonable advantage. My answer is “No,” I don’t believe it .
Then, can such a crime help Assad to win the battle? The answer is “no”! At the moment, Assad has the overhand. He is winning the battle and he has strong allies like Iran, the Hezbollah and the Russians, who are fighting with him and are supplying him weapons and logistics. I believe that it could only be the loser who is the one who would have an interest in dragging the United States into this battle to weaken Assad and change the strategic situation.
Obama seems to be desperate, as he knows that if he cannot have the approval from the Congress, he cannot go alone. By doing so, as he said it many times, he could create a constitutional problem. He is so desperate that he needs the Jewish lobby, the pro-Israel American Israel Public Affairs Committee. They say that “Netanyahu promised Obama AIPAC's assistance in lobbying in favor of an attack ahead of the congressional vote”, which I believe is hear say. Israel doesn’t need such a new headache with its neighbor, as Assad the father or the son never did anything against Israel, since Syria lost the Golan to Israel. I don’t believe that Netanyahu could have promised to Obama such a help. The leaders of AIPAC should take their hands off this affair as involving Israel in the regional conflicts would be very detrimental to Israel. Those who have never been in a war for Israel should not get involved.
Foxman denied that Netanyahu had any involvement in the Obama campaign to strike Syria. Obama should trust the feeling of the people. In particular after having followed the entire Middle East developments, which are called the “Arab Spring”, today I would say that it is an Arab debacle, which led Tunisia, Libya and Egypt into the hands of the Muslim Brotherhood and with this, Obama, despite the great enthusiasm of his administration and followers, left the people of these three nations in trouble.
Today the Syrian troops launched an attack to liberate Maaloula, which was occupied on Saturday by Al Qaeda-affiliated Jabhat al-Nusra and the Muslim Brotherhood. The villagers hope that the troops of Assad will succeed to liberate the most ancient Christian village which is home to two of the oldest surviving monasteries in Syria. I understand the Syrian Christians who are unhappy to be occupied. They were aware of what had happened in Egypt when these two organizations burned the Christian Churches.
The Muslim Brotherhood just lost the battle to the Egyptian army because of denying the Egyptians even basic freedoms they used to have before. Our president must not be happy that the Egyptian army took matters into their hands and liberated the country from the Muslim Brotherhood, which abused of its power.
However, by weakening Assad we would automatically become allies of Al Qaeda and the Muslim Brotherhood. Is this what Obama wants?

Just as I told you earlier, Obama had many options before him. Most of those options he wasn't revealing except the most severe and he did a very good job of convincing the world, including you, that he was going to take drastic military action against the Assad regime. So convincing, in fact, that most of United States citizens and the Congress were against him. But his bluff was taken seriously where it counted––in Syria.
Give our president credit where credit is due and stop complaining about how the United States beats up on the world. The Bush regimes are long gone.
