Conseil, Advice

Il est gênant de n'avoir rien à dire quand tout le monde parle. Il est encore plus gênant de prendre la parole quand nous n'en éprouvons pas la nécessité. Chaque mot a son poids et son degré de responsabilité. Ecouter en silence, sans répondre, sans laisser soupçonner notre opinion, est un gros avantage.
Ne prenons pas la parole sans savoir d'avance ce que nous allons dire, pesons nos mots, ayons une idée de la réaction qu'ils peuvent provoquer pour être prêts à la réplique.
Même si nous sommes enclins par nature à éviter de trop parler, nous ne pouvons nous abstenir d'élever la voix contre une injustice ou pour sauver une vie humaine. C'est notre devoir. La sincérité de nos arguments est une force qui peut faire changer le cours des choses.
Certaines personnes aiment s'entendre parler et ne s'en privent pas, pour ne rien dire ou dire ce que nous savons déjà. Il faut savoir se taire. Le silence aussi est une force et souvent une force plus convaincante que les meilleurs arguments.
