Senator Obama calls the Iranian threat very small compared to that of the Soviet Union.

If Senator Obama is downplaying the threat from Iran, he confirms that he does not understand either the Iranians or the Chiite mouvement and their aspirations. Obaman said lately, “Show me where Iran tried to extend its terrotories”. He is right. Iran does not need to extend any territories, as it already extended its influence, in Syria, Lebanon, Gaza and Somalia etc.

I would like to remind the senator that the writer is a survivor of Worl War II, fought as an officer in three wars and belongs to the people who lost one third of its numbers through misjudgments like this. Ahmadinejad indirectly, through his surrogate, the Hezballah and his Republican Guards which are training the Iraqi Chiite extremists is supplying weapons, amunition and is killing our soldiers. Senator Obama call this a tiny threat?

If the war in Iraq has lasted so long this was not because of the Bush administration but because of the silent meddling of the Iranians in Iraq and because of the foreign and the national media which instigated repeatedly against Bush. I don’t believe that the United States can wait any longer or until the next president is elected to solve the Iranian problem.

I would suggest to Senator Obama to warn Iran to stop meddling in the Middle East and to stop supplying weapons and training in Iraq and in Lebanon to Hezbollah and to Hamas if they want to live in peace with us
