A marvelous speech like from the time of our ancestors
Today, I was napping in my bed and listening to a speech on television, without looking who the speaker was. I was amazed by the beautiful words that came from the TV set. Finally I got up to see who was this beautiful speaker who inspired I don’t know what audience. I then realized that it was our President Obama, who was pronouncing these beautiful words one after the other and who was deeply touching our young and old who listened. He inspired the young people who just begin to taste life and awakened all those who have a sweet and loving soul.
This rhetoric of idealism that we once heard in elementary school and perhaps in the Socialist Party in France and especially from the pre-war Communist Party enchanted us and made us dream of a bright future, these beautiful words were what I had once heard when our whole city was in distress during World War II and when we were fleeing with our blankets and bags on the back. Our poor old people, they hardly could walk and the young ones were hanging behind us, at a distance of half a kilometer and others of one kilometer, some crying and screaming “mother”. From time to time, the German planes were flying over us so low there were almost shaving our path and the fields that were our only escape.
I told myself that our president is a first-class speaker, I wondered who was preparing these beautiful speeches that were once our dreams when we were young, full of love and especially hopeful for the world of tomorrow. Alas, the same person that we hear very often on television, who inspires dreams of mankind, regardless of race or origin, in a word, of all healthy human beings, is dreaming about it. But these are only dreams. We surely don’t lack dreams, but unfortunately it’s the sense of reality we lack, that reflects everything - life and daily work for the millions of Americans who no longer work since he came to power. We have thousands of unemployed, not only that no longer work, but have lost the will and the courage to continue looking for work.
For those who need work, we don’t the words of dreams or the words of fantasy, or the words of false hope. Mr. President, if everyone would follow your beautiful words, there would be no more wars or disagreements. The world is counting on leaders who are able to create jobs for all the people and raise the standard of living of every human being. Mr. President, stop saying these empty words and I beg you to see the world as it is and not give false hope. I criticize you for your own good and especially in your speech today, you said that we like criticism, because it is what makes us change paths. The United States is a rich country, just let businesses do their work freely and don’t knock them down or block them with laws that stifle and discourage.
