Hamas is not a government, but a terrorist organization. They have no feeling for the people. All they want is to destroy Israel. If one or two thousand Palestinians die, this is just to show their misery to others. If they wanted to raise the standard of living of the Palestinians, they would not have diverted all building materials intended for the construction of houses for the poor Palestinians, to develop their networks of tunnels which pass under the border with Israel and end up in Israeli villages and kibbutzim. The UN was supposed to monitor the use of these building materials, but it did not do its job.
I am sure that if the Palestinians did not have impossible claims, such as the annihilation of Israel, Israel could very well accommodate them. But if they threaten Israel, it has no choice.
What amazes me most is that our President Obama does not see the problems from a human or logical point of view, and even in America he does not solve the problems.
Israel should look into who is supplying the rockets that Hamas launches into Israel - Qatar or maybe Iran as well. If it is Qatar, it must figure out how to punish it and especially how to prevent the supply to Hamas. We must not forget that Hamas is part of the Muslim Brotherhood who kill Christians and who killed Anwar Sadat, an honest man who has made peace with Israel.
Arab countries have the tendency that as soon as there is something going on, they all rush and it is not until afterwards that they realize that it was not the Ennahda, or the Muslim Brotherhood they had hoped for.
I have always attracted the attention, from the beginning, that what Obama was doing was neither in the interest of America nor in that of the Arabs. I am very surprised by the biased position of the United Nations, while this forum should be fair.
Obviously Israel would like a cease-fire, but under what condition? Allow Hamas to keep the rockets that are raining down on Israel and their network of tunnels intact is a guarantee that the fighting will start soon after. If the United States had not accepted that the Russians install ballistic missiles in Cuba, more than 110 miles from Florida, how do you want that Israel accept rockets on its borders? If Israel did not have a lot of dead, it had to invent clever solutions to defend itself.
I would have preferred to write about beautiful things, but I have over 300 family members in Israel. The Arabs could better benefit from a friendship with Israel than with any country in the world. But alas, few are the Arabs who raise their voice, allowing extremists like ISIS to ascend to power. But they cannot do anything against Israel. I hope that this text will enlighten those who see things differently.
I congratulate the new Egyptian government that has removed the Muslim Brotherhood who destroyed the country. Although he was a military man, I respect Mr. El-Sisi for having been able to align with Saudi Arabia and the Gulf countries, except Qatar.
I am surprised that our president has chosen the Muslim Brotherhood and not democracy that he had preached about. But I trust the American people who will soar in time, as they had done during and after the Second World War.
