I am puzzled by certain ways of expressing current events, as I read about them in various news sources, which I find to be mostly very biased. I am French, born in a country which was conquered by the Arabs, then by the Turks and eventually by the French. When looking back on history, there has never been a territory conquered by a country and then returned voluntarily. We just have to look at the Kurds, who are much more numerous than the Palestinians and do not have a country of their own to this day, although the famous Saladin was of Kurdish origin.   

The same goes for Europe. France conquered Alsace-Lorraine and never gave it back to Germany, as well as Corsica, which it did not return to Italy. We could also mention the United States, Canada, and Australia that were based on conquests.

I don’t understand why the so-called Palestinians need their own country west of the Kingdom of Jordan, while the British already gave them all the territory east of the Jordan, which is 77% of the original mandatory territory. The Balfour declaration established the Jewish right to a homeland. During WWI Jewish brigades from the United States and other countries had fought alongside the British against the Ottoman Empire to liberate the territories called Palestine, Lebanon, and Syria. At the time when Britain controlled the land, there was very little Arab population, mostly Bedouins. As the Jewish population and work opportunities increased, Muslim population increased as well with the influx of Arabs from the neighboring countries, taking advantage of the work opportunities. These Arabs do not know much about where their families came from before they found work in Israel. During WWII Jewish brigades from Palestine fought with the allies against Germany, which was allied with the Mufti of Jerusalem.

The majority of the population in Jordan is of the same origin as the so-called Palestinians. The King of Jordan and his tribe account for a very small percentage of the population. All the “Palestinians” want, is to destroy Israel.

The West Bank is the cradle of Jewish civilization and is traditionally called Judea and Samaria. During the six-day war, when Jordan joined Egypt, Syria, and other Arab countries to attack Israel, Israel beat them all and took back the West Bank, including Jerusalem. There is no good reason, why Israel should give this territory to the so-called “Palestinian” Arabs, whose goal is to eliminate Israel. We saw what happened when Israel voluntarily returned part of Gaza, which originally was part of Egypt, to the “Palestinians”. Hamas took over. The same thing happened in Lebanon, when Israel withdrew voluntarily. Hezbollah took over.

Today I understand Netanyahu who went toe-to-toe with the US and with Europe, as they are both biased. If Israel builds whatever it decides to build, one should not forget that they control the territory. They do not have to justify themselves to anyone. Should they reach an agreement with whatever entity, they will surely respect any agreement. As for Obama, he did not succeed in the United States, how does he think he will be able to succeed in the Middle East? As for the Europeans, they have never been friendly to the Jews. Israel has to do whatsoever it takes to assure the security of its people. 

As for the question, “Why Does the State Department Endorse Palestinian Fight to Exclude Jews?” I am not amazed. Since Obama works against Israel, the State Department follows suit.
