Who will lead Israel?
Now that Netanyahu has been generous to dissolve the government, some say he took a risk, leaving the door open for Lapid, Livni, Herzog and others, in short, to all those greedy for power who want to be Prime Minister without knowing if they are up to the task.
Just now, when finally, from January 2015 on, the US Congress will be in the hands of the Republicans, who are the allies of Israel, they believe doing well to go with Obama. We can see what happens - the ISIS advances and there is no real will to destroy it.
For once that Israel had a capable Prime Minister, with vision and clarity, who has acquired the friendship of Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Jordan, the Israelis want to change course. Like the American left that failed, now it is the Israeli left that will fail. But at what price?
This too is the doing of Obama, trying to break Netanyahu in order to help the Palestinians, as he did during the war when he helped Hamas together with Turkey and Qatar.
Those who believe that Netanyahu is not up to his task are wrong. He is the only one who can speak with the Americans, especially now that the right and the Republicans control both the Congress and the Senate, and are the only true friends of Israel. I say, “Israelis, do not lose your head! It is only Netanyahu who will save Israel. He has strengths that others do not have.” As the saying goes, “you can’t beat somebody with nobody.”
