Hi, Rob:

Okay so Bush is stealing New Mexico, Ohio, and Florida and I guess that's supposed to be enough for me to want to continue to fight the good fight, right?--except even if Kerry pulls off a miracle here, that's still about 50% of the country that voted for Bush, the majority of whom apparently are citing "morality" as their number one issue.

Rob, why are we still in this country?  I am absolutely serious here--I have had offers to move to Canada and am seriously on the verge of doing it.  What the fuck is here for us?  The fascists destroyed democracy in 2000, America in 2001, Iraq soon thereafter, and now about half of Americans are HELPING THEM DO IT.  I mean I can't even watch Jon Stewart to joke my way through this--this is a serious fucking problem.  This isn't hyperbole anymore--it really is a willful Germany giving over to Hitler.

America is one giant god-forsaken moron lulling itself to sleep.  Morality, Rob?  MORALITY???  Gay marriage, as you know, is like the flag burning issue--it's a red herring, right? And in any other election year an issue like that wouldn't be a deciding factor.  In this election, especially, it shouldn't even be at the bottom of the list. 

The top of the list???  Really??? For how many people???  I cannot believe it: the sky has fallen.  Rove found a way to trigger prejudice in bigots who have to suppress their hatred of Blacks and Hispanics while at the same time stealing those Black and Hispanic votes.*  And like the sheep we are we've fallen for it.  2004 and prejudice disguised as moral high ground is still our numero uno agenda.  We are sick.

I'm hearing that we need a revolution, but the revolution already happened.  The neo fascists have won. Please tell me I'm wrong. For fuck sake tell me I'm wrong and there's even a glimmer of hope in this dank cave. 

Or else come with me to Canada, eh?
