The essay by Randy Gonzalez explores human sexuality through the lens of classical criminology, emphasizing rational choice and individual motivations within a complex psychosexual framework. It critiques pseudosciences like criminology, psychology, sociology, and theology for their speculative nature and reliance on anecdotal evidence, while highlighting societal fear, ignorance, and repression that stifle mature understanding and expression of sexuality. Gonzalez argues that fear-driven ideologies, cultural immaturity, and institutional influences perpetuate deviance labels, projective insecurities, and hypocritical judgments, ultimately hindering personal evolution and liberation. Drawing on historical perspectives, the piece laments the lack of progress since post-World War II studies, warning that such regression accelerates humanity's devolution and calls for deeper, unbiased inquiry into the potent role of sexuality in human behavior and ideation.
The underlying foundational structure here stems from a classical school of criminology perspective. In classical criminology, human thinking processes are intricate, diverse, and multifaceted. A multiplex of individual purposes, inspirations, and drives invites a never-ending enticement of investigative analysis. Building upon that essential framework of rational choice, the interest herein focuses on the nature of human sexuality. Presumably, from this viewpoint, ideation is willfully manifested from the deepest realms of individuality. Within this depth of extraordinary complexity, the motivational factors influencing subsequent behavioral activities remain a fascinating spectrum of inquiry. There are no foolproof philosophical answers. However, the need for deeper, open inquiry into psychosexual motivations is urgent and cannot be overstated.
Scientific validation is an ongoing journey, often elusive at best in terms of metaphysical interpretations. As human thinking continues to offer definitive challenges, inquiries continue. From “hard science” versus “soft science” (pseudoscience), real sciences like astronomy, biology, chemistry, physics, and so forth continue to explore human behavior. Meanwhile, in the pseudosciences, like criminology, psychology, sociology, and theology, speculations abound in regard to finding definitive answers. Yet, the probing and prodding continue in an array of diverse schools of thought. In hard-core science, like nuclear physics, physical evidence must withstand the rigorous test of scientific validation to stand up in a court of law. Evidentiary authenticity is vital. Aside from organic deterioration, disease, or related natural processes assessed from bona fide scientific analysis, matters of thinking relate to speculative conjecture.
From that point, argument, debate, and competitive discourse ensue. An opinion, philosophical perspective, or belief as regards human thinking processes is not of scientific sufficiency. At this juncture, it is perfectly okay to admit, to fess up, and to accept that an investigation is influenced by the divergent spheres of pseudoscience. Some classical criminologists do exactly that. They understand they are not dealing with nuclear physics or quantum mechanics. Instead, the practical criminologist, those who work in the real world of crime, focus on practical applications. From this exceptionally indefinable realm of human behavioral motivations, investigative analysis continues to explore the dark realms of inclinations toward illicit behaviors. As to the existence of something called the “mind”, it is a metaphor for what the human brain does within its physical organic structures. Such is a multidimensional matrix of dark deception. At this point, fear enters the discussion. Being afraid is a very profound cultural experience for many. Fear of sex is particularly prominent, especially in one of the freest countries on the planet.
Stupidity, erroneous beliefs, unevolving status, gross self-indulgent immaturity, and other factors devolve into a selfish psycho-dynamic complexity of willful intentions. Infancy in adulthood does not help in the self-evolution of the human species. People acting like children in adult bodies hide behind various masks of deception. Here, the focus is narrowed to the extent of an exploration of the influential potency of human sexuality as an integral component of existence. Frequently, particularly among academics, primarily observers and interviewers who bring their own bias of sexual insecurity to the investigative nexus, default to negativity.
One source of misinformation, one implication of regression, as well as one fearful emotional reaction, mounts over time to compound confusion in the subsequent translation. As each subsequent generation accepts exposure to previous generations, as storytelling self-interests unfold, enlightenment to higher rationality tends to devolve. From the past, the echoes of significant theorists lament the woeful lack of understanding regarding human sexuality. Of its unique and intricate framework within the multidimensional complexity of ideation, much stupidity and hysteria erroneously blur the rationality of mainstream interaction. Throughout social media, the 24/7 infotainment cyber world and political processes, as well as the educational establishment, fear foments ignorance. Distraction, dissension, and deceit abound.
In the lamentations of thoughtful voices from predecessors of the “psycho-social studies industry”, an early 20th century perspective, relates the severe reality in understanding the complex dynamics of the human sexual dimension. Asserting the unfortunate and terrible historicity of repressive attitudes and actions, selfishly defined ignorance, and punitive treatment of others, greater understanding has yet to evolve. The condescension of sexual potency as the driving force of human nature, particularly in reference to cerebral ideation, continues to foment a perplexing and daunting challenge for mature inquiry. Immaturity, fearful infantile entrenchment, and ideological repressiveness add to the mix of divisive social discourse.
As to the earlier inference, the “social studies” realm insists upon much societal influence in the conjecture of various philosophical constructs that confuse, confound, and cloud the issues. These are the presumed bastions of alleged higher education from the non-science arenas of criminology, psychology, sociology, and theology. Unabashedly accepted by some classical criminologists, mainly real-world practitioners, this is the dominion of pseudoscience. For this deliberation, as indicated, a philosophical approach is preferred from the non-science of criminology. Like its counterparts in the humanistic realm “social studies”.
The spectrum of criminological speculations are a philosophical perspective built upon human interpretations. As such, the broad array of metaphysical inquiries relies upon the research of others. Investigators mostly repeat what has already been accumulated in terms of anecdotal inferences. Of interest to criminologists, in the study of illicit or unlawful behaviors, is the weaponization of the sexual dimension in order to achieve the satiation of personal self-centeredness. However, that is not the only aspect of behavioral inquiry. The study of crime and criminality is a broad domain with a diversity of theories based on common assumptions. In academia for instance, there is no shortage of theoretical speculation.
From a classical perspective, emphasis is placed upon individual or group selectivity. Around this sphere, as expressed here, the view is observed from the standpoint of the practitioner, as opposed to the non-real world of the unexposed classroom-oriented academic. In classical criminology, emphasis is placed upon the instigator, or actor of the action, to choose his or her actions freely. Behavior is a matter of rational choice in the physical communicative interactions with others. Matters, issues, gambits, or whatever of ideations presuppose willful motivation. Intentional thought, from intricate inner dominions of organic processes, interacts from a multidimensional framework of individual complexity. The depth of which is yet to be understood.
While there exists some commonality in collective behaviors, individuality in thinking delves into a mysterious gamut of personal proclivities. The likes of which remain in the deep recesses of a person’s thoughts. In the various fields of the “social studies” arena, mainly applicable to the sedate world of academia, criminology, along with psychology, sociology, and theology, remain within the gambit of metaphysics. As associated forms of philosophical inquiries, at best, the various schools of thought speculate from regurgitation, or reinvention, of prior theoretical assumptions on the nature of cause and effect reality. Adherents, proselytes, and believers of one interest or another freely pursue the advocacy of a multiplicity of generalizations.
Meanwhile, in the mainstream, from cable news networks to the cyber terrains of social media, to politicians of every description, one story after another exaggerates the tale endlessly, for every speculative notion comes the saga of its exploited simplicity. From the provinces of the pseudosciences (criminology, psychology, sociology, theology) comes investigative story-telling that metastasizes into “scientific confirmation”. As if a science fiction movie, or “cabin in the woods” horror story, the inventive conjecture of opinion, observation, and obsession devolves to “monsters of the Id” as though scientifically validated beyond any reasonable doubt.
Of fears mongered in the cowardly self-interests of politicians, pundits, and proselytes of whatever, the elevation of nonsense rises to lofty heights. Easily for the pleasured carnality of satiated intentions, these scary assertions are the “psycho-creatures” of the horror genre mistakenly perceived as newsworthy. From within the framework of illicit motivations, the premeditation cultivates the anxiety of spineless resistance to the free exercise of liberated actuality. Figuratively descriptive at best, because absolute certainty remains elusive, the ghost, goblins, and gremlins of the “Id” permeate the deep darkness of thinking. Of thoughts ideated purposely for the aims of personal amative proclivity, the psychosexual dynamics manifest in diverse forms, at least as envisioned herein from a classical criminological perspective.
Keenly aware of this particular perspective, the accepted realm of pseudoscience holds no pretense to the illusions of scientific perfection. Instead, philosophical instigation remains curious as to the probability of speculative inquiry coming closer to a vague reality. And yet, for the sake of discourse, the “Id” portrays the relevance of the “divine” potentiality of human intentions to carry out the desires of inner darkness. Its extraordinary essence is powerfully sexual in nature and frightens the beholder into a self-effacing defensiveness as to his or her own framework of life. Finite and eventual terminal, non-existence to prevail against any remembrance, the living dead fearful reveal the potency of the “Id’s” advocacy for a fulfilled, enlivened existence.
Fearing the inner potency of the psychic energy, the reach of unconscious realms, and the expanse of a personal dreamscape, the shy, hesitant, and insecure personality of many shrink into spheres of regressive self-denial. While many are at different stages of personal subsistence, or their present predicament, a few persevere in self-evolution. Most are not changing to any significant degree, satisfied with the status of static commonality. Within, sexuality is forced into the non-creativity of perfunctory dullness or inactive dormancy. As such, a significant majority of fearful beings function at different ranges of individually diverse states of unevolving propensity. Desires, wants, and needs of pleasurable manifestations suffer.
From the collective collusion of fearful adherents, the loss of individual liberation in the expression of sexual freedom translates socially into definitions of “deviance. Strained and non-creative status quo entrenchment oppresses the unique nature of salacious ideation. Carnality, in the divergent realms of human interactivity or privacy of individuation, absent malice of illicit intention, stirs the imaginative potency of the impetus to higher maturation. Ascending to higher possibilities of well-differentiated transformation stems from such sensual energy.
However, resistance waits at every turn, from established institutional representations to corporate and political bastions of contrived consensus. Coming and going in the flux of human replacements, one age after another, there is stagnation due to a diminishing capacity of ascended transformation. Beliefs of one sort or another, yet typically following a standardized pattern, insist upon the continuation of devolving replication. The collective opposition comes in many configurations and exerts powerful influence, to which many concede their submissiveness. Consciously enslaved for the simplicity of ideological containment, the dull and boring expressions of one succession upon another plague innovative processes. For this mediocrity in intellectual capabilities across a wide scale, societal dumbness forgoes the rigorous efforts of encouraging deeper introspection. Stupidity hides behind numerous masquerades.
As such, a “sexual revolution” continues among the few rigorously engaged in the echoes of previous pioneering. Against the fierce terrorism of selfish ideologies, the human sexual dimension remains misunderstood and underappreciated. For the scope and intensity of personal sexuality, enhancing the potential richness of blissful creativity, rancorous discord divides investigative consensus. With the prevalence of dark dogmas in supernatural illusions and the superficiality of unscientific postulations, the psychodynamic weaknesses of powerful influences constrain many aspects of liberated exploration. Divisive enmity, the herded grazing of lazy thinking, perpetuates intentional constraints upon the efficacy of liberation. As each is a variation of a materialistic template, the complexity of transition is lost in the social translations.
One phase follows another and challenges the mobility of insightful aspirations for productive maturity. While “adult children” come along next, after the older “juveniles” left, their inexperienced capacity for wiser maturation falters. Dumbing down by various means and schemes encourages the mass production of robotic replications of dull and boring stagnation. An amorality of cowardly successions fosters unscrupulous rules, regulations, and condescending ruminations as to what is normal in regard to sexual expression. Where deviance finds a reactivity of emotional animosity based on ignorance, the condemnation comes quickly.
Yet, foolish adolescent murmurs perpetrate counterproductive censures. Absent the agreed-upon lawfully constituted and duly legislated behavioral constrictions, as in murder, sexual battery, theft, robbery, etc., tested in courts of law, then deviance does not exist. In the exhibition of allegedly “sexually deviant behaviors,” matters of law are questionable through an appellate process. However, outside of constituted agreements, people continue their judgments.
To say a sexually explicit behavior should not be done is to pontificate from the presupposition of a divine celestial appointment of god-like judgment. In efforts to exert power, control, and dominance over others, the bullying of so-called “correct behavior” is foolish, self-serving, and cowardly. Such is an unprincipled, unethical, and unscrupulous perpetration of abusive arrogance. From there, a question ponders the efficacy of the sanction not codified in the consensus of lawful legislation. As to that issue, means exist to overturn, overrule, and change the various legal constraints in order to achieve constitutionality for the general welfare. Another question considers the self-centeredness of insulting discord. From within, individual dysfunctions of amative inadequacy, or “erectile dysfunctional thinking”, project the shortcomings of the perpetrator. For the loathing of personal cowardice, there is failure to ascend maturely in wiser perceptions.
Projection of private loathing from an infancy of libidinous constrictions perpetuates all manner of illicit social conspiracies. Sexual inadequacy permeates the entirety of an intentional retreat from the responsibility of individuality. From the native home, that is the individual origin of the beginning, to each comes the challenge of overcoming the puzzled personality. Fragments, or pieces, put together to dispose of the soiled diapers of transformative despair. Whatever the labeling that adherents within the expanse of the “social studies arena” prefer does not matter; what is more relevant is why people believe and do the things detrimental to their psychosexual transformation. As most do not transform, change, or ascend to mature levels of enlightened amative perspectives, their child-like antics collectively promote the condescension of others. As to this, censorship in many forms contrives the cowardice of purposeful hypocrisy.
From ignorant labeling of behavioral characteristics by “social studies” elites, to the smug piety of dogmatic supernatural ideologies, fear of sexuality contrives various means of power, control, and domination of many. Whether it is the ill-constructed anecdotal regurgitation of unscientific speciousness or the illegitimate perpetuation of theological perversions, enlightenment of the human sexual dimension devolves to child-like repressiveness. As such, the escalating dangerousness of humankind’s eventual extinction hastens the finality of such probability.
As one study from the last century (20th) suggests, in the aftermath of World War II, while there is a broad spectrum of mainstream interest in sexuality, ignorance of its depth is woefully extensive. From an era of so-called groundbreaking studies, not much has been done to ensure a wider understanding of the importance of the human sexual psychodynamic framework. In fact, ignorance, laden with one taboo after another, is likely more prevalent.
In a world where those conspiring to ensure an illusion of safety, security, and stability as defined by them, a contrived atmosphere of consumptive exploitation promotes consensus of well-being. Of their heritage, power, and wealth, the insistence on a particular worldview involves a vast diversity of complicity. At the same moment in time, no singular enclave of powerful interests dominates the public status quo in a unitary configuration. Global commerce, education, industry, politics, and religion represent a massive network structure of extensive scope, depth, and density. For the landed gentry, the aristocracy of generational materiality, and the oligarchs of political inheritance, the duplicity is intricate and multifaceted. Whether by covert means, overt application, knowledgeable complicity, or unwitting acquiescence, by wealthy influence intentions, the status quo is promoted. No doubt, the hypocrisy is insidiously regressive as is the dishonesty.
Where once, by a generation that came into being after World War II, progressive ideations flirted and experimented with salacious liberations of libido, others countered divisively. Nonetheless, understanding, exploring, and advancing greater enlightenment of human sexuality is significantly influenced by those, them, and they who have the power to redirect the sleight of hand of believability. The social environment is seemingly more confused in post-modern America than ever before. Again, it is asserted that duplicitous purposes, as well as contradictory assertions, aid and abet a regressively disingenuous environment for sexual freedom. As to that, another question arises when an exposé hits the news headlines. That is, the zealous proselyte is caught violating some “sex crime” statute. Before that, of course, the “decency crusader” railed against the “deviant” at every opportunity. In the aftermath, the scapegoating begins.
Excuses rush to erect a smokescreen of damage control to assure the public their comfort, concealment, and consumption are safe. Mitigations assemble quickly perpetrated in mutual complicity by the “social studies” arena, to manufacture the believability of some contrived “addiction” or demonic possession of some “syndrome”, meanwhile, as the mainstream media, devoid of the wiser depths of human maturation, as well as a tempered perspective of experienced reason and logic, pontificate child-like fixations on the necessity of informational torture. Conveniently avoiding the rational scientific validity of asserted psychobabble, the social media herds stampede to burn, pillage, and plunder any semblance of serious analysis. After three to four minutes of incessant character assassination, the “news celebrities” cut to the marketplace for another three to four minutes of salesmanship, typically using sexuality to sell a product. And, the castigation, or social castration of the “wicked,” fogs real understanding of human sexuality.
