The theme of this year’s Blogging Carnival for Nonviolence is World Peace.
Actually, it is the theme every year. We are just intentionally focusing on it this year (2026).
I have recently been reading about soldiers from the Russian Army. They want no more of Putin’s war.
The same thing happened in 1917, during the First World War. The Russian troops left their trenches in the biting cold of a Russian winter and went home. For them the war was truly over. Unfortunately, there were more wars to come. But if everyone had laid down their arms, refused to fight and gone home, the war would have ended then and there.
In 1914, the Christmas truce occurred. The British and German soldiers put down their guns, their grenades and their bayonets, They stopped shooting at one another. They climbed out of their trenches, exchanged gifts with “the enemy” and sang Christmas songs together.
If they had refused their orders to begin shooting again, the war would have ended there and then.
We can bring about world peace. We can make a difference. Each and every one of us can make a difference.

We all want peace. Nobody wants to see children being blown up. Nobody wants to see babies dying because there is no electricity to run the incubators. Nobody wants young people to be murdered while attending a festival. Nobody wants to see people being stabbed in the street. Nobody wants to rain destruction on people and animals. Nobody wants that.
If YOU don’t want that, then please join your voice with ours. Please submit your blog post. Go here for the guidelines.
We all may have internal struggles within ourselves. We all may have struggles and conflicts within our lives. And we all want peace.
