When the child is born - the person destined to cause a reign of terror that will proceed the Rapture - he shows love for his mother. But that is part of the AntiChrist - to the public he is their saving grace - the person who is so selfless he will lead the world back to order.

It is frightening. Ms. Collins takes us to a dramatic climax that makes you hold your breath as you know all the pieces are in place and there is no way to stop the prophecy from happening so the ending is more shocking than ever.

This is a different take on an End of Times book. It even brings in Roswell New Mexico and aliens' genetic strains...it all adds up to an new take on a theme and it works.

Ms. Collins knows how to work the cadence of a book and leave you in mid-breath.
