Readers often ask me how I come up with my ideas for my stories. I have no problem coming up with ideas for my stories because I get them from everywhere. What I sometimes have problems with is nailing down the details of setting and the description of my hero and heroine.

I started book scrapbooking as a way to get me in the mood of writing a particular scene and to keep track of details. My book scrapbooking is much like a scrapbook you would create for your family and friends. The only difference with my scrapbook is that I don’t cut-and-paste photographs into a premade scrapbook. I usually rip out pictures from magazines, or print off pictures from the Internet, of people and places that fit the story am writing and I stick them into a manila folder.

Boring!

I almost never look at my book scrapbook once I’ve torn the page and put it in the manila folder. My readers never see what I see when I’m writing the story. What fun is that? So I thought it would be cool to finally learn how to use Pinterest so I could create a board where my readers could see the world that I create the same way I do as I’m writing.

This is all new to me, so if you are an experienced Pinterest user, let me know. I need a 101. But so far I’ve had a lot of fun searching the web and pinning pictures to my boards.
