A brief synopsis:
Terry Vinson, author of the recent thrillers 'The Gig', 'Crimson Falls', and 'Blue Falcon', will unleash an all new vision of horror set in the waning days of World War II with his most recent work, the suspense/thriller 'DEATH'S HEAD'.
Late Spring 1945 near Welmar, Germany: As the war in Europe winds down, a unit of battle-fatigued GIs are tasked in liberating the survivors of the infamous Verurteilt concentration camp, in theory a relatively simple search and rescue mission of humanitarian aid.
Upon arrival at the desolate, mostly deserted encampment, a handpicked few are tasked to search an unmapped area behind the main compound for evidence of a separate, clandestine camp, reportedly created for and utilized by higher ranking SS officers to further torment, torture and debase the hapless internee of their choice.
Trekking a well-worn path through a dense, gnarled forest, the soldiers come upon a young Jewish girl, on the run and in hiding since escaping the main compound, and are told of a group of similar survivors who had been forced into a nearby coal mine by the fleeing camp commandant and his few remaining loyal guards.
Though not without serious reservation, Sergeant Rance Hawkins and his four young charges follow the near-hysterical girl into dark, twisting tunnels upon her claim that her very own mother is among the kidnapped refugees.
Once inside the dimly lit caverns from which there is seemingly no return, Hawkins and his motley crew of dogfaces will discover a series of shocking revelations so utterly mindboggling, terrifying and vile as to make even the many inhuman atrocities of Verurteilt seem tame by comparison.
