The PURPOSE of The BIG PAUSE by David Clure
All right, I know I'm not the only one out there to be contemplating the meaning this gigantic pause we've been handed by circumstances.
I mean, everything is being slowed down right now, as I write these words. It's almost as if, we are all, each one of us, being handed a golden opportunity to pause... and think with our hearts and our heads for a change, instead of volatile emotions.
TIME. We are being given time to, slow down, long enough to look at our lives, as individuals and as Nations. For the dust to settle long enough for us to get back to basics. Like, to remember how good we have it, to be alive. To remember how good it is to be able to see people face to face, instead of just on a smart-phone screen, or through as e-mail, or text!
A devinely ordained PAUSE... but I'm wondering? How many of us will see this as an opportunity to remember that at the heart of human existence...is this relationship that has been called LOVE.
I have it on pretty solid authority, that Love is the reason for our existance. Our core reason for being. When Jesus mentioned the greatest commandment...it was to first love the Creator, and using that definiton of what love is, to not just love ourself, but ALL OTHER HUMAN creatures. Even, OUR ENEMIES! mY goodness!
My friend, I have lived on this Earth long enough to realize, that our present situation is not a fluke. Neither is it the product of some conspiracy, because our Creator is Almighty. So, maybe you, like me, are pausing to wonder why all this is happening? And maybe, you like me, have opened up the Book that is the #1 BEST-SELLER on Planet Earth, and begun to look up, and ask, "Lord, what do you want ME to SEE?" And the second question perhaps: "What do You want me to DO?"
We have been paused for our own good. Our Lord and Creator is busy behind the scenes, using the silence and seperation He has sent as a gift, so that, we cannot say, "God, I'm too busy right now to talk to you." That excuse has now been removed.
Thank you for taking a moment to read this message.
-David a fellow Human.
Panicking and trying to get ahead of the next person, always makes things worse. You're right about contemplating what we are doing and how we are doing it. Isolationism and looking backward is not the solution. There are a lot of very capable people right now looking for medicines and a vaccine that will stop this virus dead in the water like so many other "incurable" threats from the past.
It is time to do the right thing and let the experts finish their work.
