I’m sure many people are saying to themselves after reading the title what is she saying? Of course my doctor is in charge of my Health Care!
But is that a true statement. For the most part your doctor is your medical provider but your doctor has to answer to your insurance company. This insurance company is the final say in many of the decisions that apply to you.
For instance: Your doctor wants you to have a specific medication. Your insurance can come back with no that’s too expensive try something else within our price range of this particular medication.
What if your doctor want’s to order a test for you to find out if you do or don’t have some kind of disease or what ever. Your insurance company can come back with no not needed at this time or do this test it’s cheaper.
So the next time you go to your medical provider’s office find out who is saying no to whatever you want to keep your body working like a fine tuned machine and to keep the pain away.
