We watched the film on Valentine’s Day and love the way it looks and sounds on this venue. It has subtitles (captions) which are so important to people like us with hearing problems. And some viewers without hearing problems who have read the book say they enjoy watching the film with captions because they can see that much of the dialogue comes straight from our book.
We are also very pleased that filmmakers Misha Zubarev and V. Ulea were able to do justice to the “he remembers/she remembers” format used in It Had To Be Us and that although the film deviates from the book, it stays true to our story. And we are delighted with Debra Lord Cooke and Richard Vernon’s wonderful performances as Harry and Elizabeth, who try to discover their lost love after being estranged and divorced for almost 20 years. The entire cast and crew deserve kudos for their terrific work on this award-winning short film.
