My good friend, author Micki Peluso, in support of the work of MADD, Mothers Against Drunk Driving, has published a new piece on this persistent, dangerous and tragic problem.
Micki, herself a bereaved parent, lost her daughter years ago to a drunk driver. Her book, And The Whippoorwill Sang, is a must read for all parents and their families whose lives have been darkened by the senseless tragedy of losing a child to drunk drivers.
I have read this book, and I urge you to do so as well and become involved in your local MADD chapter.
