What is the fourth dimension?
Is it a dimension where gravity prevails by the distortion of space, and where a measure of the passing of time can be established by observing the rate of movement by its occupants?
A proposed description of a fourth dimension is that the curvature of space
itself might be considered as having some relation to the three known
Dimensions; by distorting these dimensions. A fourth dimension arising from the distortion of these three dimensions could be a connection to them. So, the presence of any solid body in space distorts the surrounding space, altering the three known dimensions, resulting in the concept of the curvature of space.
Movements in the depths of space can be described as circular, as bodies move in orbit around other existing entities. Even here on Earth, as one travels in what seems to be in a straight line, this path follows the curvature of Earth’s surface, as small as this measurement is.
As a consequence of these assumptions, the Earth and its occupants are
proposed to travel in a circular path around the Sun in a fourth dimension.
Thanks for clarifying something I hadn't placed much thought in before. The idea that the earth is rotating around the sun, the sun is rotating around the galaxy, and the Milky Way is rotating around?, Brings into light the possibility of new dimensions from the curvature of space.
