A look at the "Seasons of Life" that are difficult to deal with at times / reaching out to God through others for comfort and support.

At times, life can seem like a "battle of the seasons," as my wife recently told me.
With many of us preparing for the joys of Easter, it is a sober reminder during this Holy Week of Passover and Good Friday of the many trials we all can face any time in our faith/life walks, whatever they may be.
Many years ago when my wife was going through some difficult life storms, she coined the following terms: "Seasoned For Suffering" and "Grinding Grief."
Here's a song that I was recently inspired by the Holy Spirit to write, using my wife's terms, which I'll be using in an upcoming presentation on "Grief and Mindfulness," highlighting Alan D. Wolfelt, PhD's "Handbook for Companioning the Mourner - Eleven Essential Principles."
This song relates to what many of are experiencing in this battle of the seasons - the harshness of what suffering entails and also the hope which we can all share in being there for one another for every season of our lives (I hope to eventually do a YouTube of the song.):
Seasoned For Suffering
by Keith & Maria Horcasitas
March 19, 2015
1. We're Seasoned, for Suffering
It's Grinding me, Deeply into Grief
1st Refrain: How can I take this Pain?
It always seems like Rain!
When will this ever Change?
How can I Rearrange? (Repeat)
2. We're walking along, with the Mourner Crying Out!
Nothing to Figure Out, Humbled by All of Our Doubt!
2nd Refrain: I'm at the End of My Rope
With You I'm clinging to Hope
The Mystery of Life
When Love Cuts Like a Knife
We may not understand
We'll Try, and Let's Hold Hands
It Frees Us from Despair
Thank God that Someone Cares!"
Interlude / 1st Refrain
