What would it be like to have breast cancer.

Well, on August 15, 2013 I had my aeorta valve replaced. I thought then that I would be good as new. Having this done I felt wonderful afterwards. But, on the way to the operating room I say to God, "You can take me home my dear Father but if you decide to leave me here for a while longer, you had better let me know why and what you want me to do to help people become good Christians.

I really thought at the time I would end up dead and never see my family again. I happened to open my eyes and there before me were my o wonderful children, husband, and sister. God decided to let me live a few more years.

God left me here to work for him so I cook on Wednesdays for our church, Triinity United Methodist Church of Southport, North Carolina. I know this is one thing He has given me because I do love cooking so much. Now what else did He want from me?

Then it hit me. People for years have asked me about my orphanage home. They kept telling me that I should write about my life growing up.

So I sat down at this table and started my story. I had no idea where to start and how to go about it. It started so easy once I got the hang of it. I cried over it so much because Papa didn't want my sister and me. We have felt rejected for years due to his behavior. He never gave us anything, Not even a nickel. We were like animals to him. No love from that man.

Well, he didn't know what he was doing but he made me a stronger person and I still am today. God gave me the strength to write about my life and end up being a better person for writing it. Now I love my life and there is no rejection anymore. God is responsible for getting this book published. I have done it because He wanted me to.

So I have writen my book that  God had His hand in even with the tears flowisng from my eyes. I feel so good after finding a publisher who have been so kind to me and my editor is a wonderful lady. I am blessed so much because of this.

Having a great time doing my thing I had to go to the doctor for surgery again. This time I found out I had breast cancer. I hated this so much but we do what we have to do. Sinceb I found it, I only had half of my left breast removed and I got to keep half at least. Then I went through all of December and most of January having radiation every day. It left me tired and I thought I would never get my strength back. Well, guess what, I do have most of my strength back, not all but enough. I have my life back because God gave it to me. I will stop cooking on Wednesdays but will give my services in other way to my church.

On June 30 I will be 81 years old. I don't feel old by no means. I have had a wonderful life with my three children and my wonderful husband, Donald. So here I am again starting a new manuscript to send to Bedazzled Ink and hopefully it will get published. They already have three of my manuscripts and looking them over. I don't know if they will be published or not. I am hoping Casey will see that they are good enough to put out in the book world for people to read.

So I sit here getting Authorsden back up and I also have Twitter again and I am now going to do my website. I am hoping people will buy my story about my home to see how orphans grown into adulthood with kindess and we are orphans that love a lot and we are also strong in our bodies because we did not get to sit around and do nothing.

So I am back and will remain for a long, long time. See you later on here and hopefully there will be another book within the next two years.
