I spent the day with two nice gentlemen who came by to see me because of the book I have written about my home, Oxford Orphanage, now called The Masonic Home For Children. They are going to have the man responsible for their newsletter to come to Southport and interview me because my book is about the love I found with my 315+ children I lived with.
They paid for the food we ate at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They even help some who wanted to go to college get a degree and now are outstanding people all over our country. Some of the Masons go ahead and become Shriners. I am sure most of you know about the Shriners Hospital for Children. They spend millions of dollars each year on advertising.
I had a wonderful time with these two men and some of my stories were funny to them as they to me when it happened. I guess you want to know how old I am. Well, that is not a scecret to the people of Southport, where I live. I am 80 and will be 81 the end of this month.
People have wanted to know how many books I have written and as of now I am on my fifth manuscripts. Bedazzled Ink is my publishing company of Califorina. They took me on after I spent years trying to find an agent. I finally gave up and went toward a publishing company for my book, Always an Orphan that will be out in July.
