San Diego comes of age in one generation.
It's hard to believe that San Diego has no hip slogan. New York is "The Big Apple," New Orleans is "The Big Easy," Chicago is "The Windy City," even LA is "The City of Angels."
San Diego titled itself "America's Finest City" and has been called "The Plymouth of the West," but this is a city that's gone from provincial to premiere in one generation. Isn't it about time it has a nickname that reflects its character?
