I will not forget.....

I'll never forget that morning. I drove to work in the dark expecting the usual day of sorting through court documents, preparing documents for court. Meeting with attorneys. But at about 9:00 a.m. on September 11, 2001 I was called to the conference room upstairs in our office. Several attorneys, paralegals and a few secretary's were gathered around the TV. We thought we were witnessing a freak accident. However, 18 minutes after the first attack, the second tower was struck. At 9:45, as millions watched the horror in New York City, American Airlines Flight 77 circled over downtown Washington, D.C. and slammed into the west side of the Pentagon military headquarters.
Forty minutes after leaving Newark International Airport we learned about United Flight 93, and Thomas Burnett Jr, Todd Beamer and many of the other passengers heroic efforts to stop the hijackers. The intended target is not known. However when the passengers fought the hijackers in the cockpit apparently with a fire extinguisher, the plane flipped over and sped toward the ground at upwards of 500 miles per hour, crashing in a rural field in western Pennsylvania at 10:10 killing all 45 people on board.
To this day tears pool in my eyes when I hear someone quote Tod Beamer "Are you guys ready? Let's Roll"....
