Patricia Fry's ‘The Right Way to Write, Publish and Sell Your Book’ is a nonfiction/information work divided into 16 chapters.

Writer Fry dispels any illusions from the outset when she flatly indicates authors will promote their own work, writers should not expect promotion by publisher.

Chapter offerings include ‘Chapter 1 Stop don’t write that book yet,’ ‘Chapter 2 How to find the Very Best Publisher for your Project,’ wherein Fry outlines five common mistakes made by new writers.

‘Chapter 3 The Good, the Bad, The Ugly Facts about POD Publishing,’ provides writers with much information concerning Pay on Delivery publishing.

The importance of preparing a book proposal is addressed in ‘Chapter 4 Bite the Bullet and Write a book Proposal.’

One area often ignored by beginning writers is presented in ‘Chapter 5 Write the Right Book for the Right Audience.’

‘Chapter 6 Dazzle ‘Em With Your Marketing Savvy,’ offers down to earth ideas for marketing the book once it is written.

In ‘Chapter 7 Okay, Now Organize Your Book,’ the reader will come to understand that writing is not just a bunch of words strung together.

Fry offers details for getting ‘How to Approach and Work With Agents and Publishers’ in ‘Chapter 8.’

Fry suggests in ‘Chapter 9 Get Ready, Get Set, Write’ that reading books similar to those you hope to produce will help the beginning writer learn what is audience friendly and publisher interesting.

‘The Self Publishing Option,’ is addressed in ‘Chapter 10.’ Fry covers promoting the book in detail.

The reader will find listings of magazines featuring book reviews in ‘Chapter 11 Book Promotion Basics,’ ‘Chapter 12 Book Promotion Reach Out Beyond the Bookstore,’ is the chapter where Fry points out don’t leave promotion to others, get yourself a notable website, and the necessity for having a merchant account.

Rounding out Promotion work is ‘Chapter 13 Book Promotion Get Creative.’

In ‘Chapter 14 BOOKKEEPING Tips for Authors,’ Writer Fry encourages writers to keep careful records both for their own peace of mind, and for Uncle Sam.

Writer Fry dispels the notion that writer’s have a lot of free time in ‘Chapter 15 The Writer’s Life.’ While ‘Chapter 16 Resources For Hopeful and already Successful Writers,’ brings the reader lots and lots of usable resources from articles to guidance for writers to Grammar and Writing Help and Wholesalers.

A glossary of terms and an index of the work rounds out the account.

Author Fry presents straightforward writing to bring authors a realistic well written work meant to help beginning readers. She lays out how writing is--not how beginning writers think it should or might be.

I find ‘The Right Way To Write, Publish And Sell Your Book’ by Patricia L. Fry to be an impressive summary of methods, information, wisdom, advice, recollections, and procedures leading to writing and selling what has been written.

Although experienced writers may note ‘The Right Way To Write, Publish And Sell Your Book’ is especially intended to support beginning writers as they draft clear readable work, Fry's information is useful for seasoned writers too.

And, once writing is completed; Fry offers applicable information on how to go about selecting an editor, and finding the best publisher for the just completed book.

Information regarding finding an agent or not, getting the book reviewed and how to promote the book are not forgotten.

The book is present into thirds.

The proposal and marketing plan, advice for writing and publishing the book and then promotion are all covered and presented in clear, understandable language.

Because Fry is an accomplished and successful writer her words are positive and believable.

Step-by-step ‘The Right Way To Write, Publish And Sell Your Book’ is a well conceived document presenting good information for writers to use in order to see their work completed, published and marketed.

Informative read, happy to recommend for aspiring and established writers alike.
