Josiah, Logan's father, PeeJay's grandfather, endeavors to fill some of the void for the not quite a youngster, and really a young adult. PeeJay is a sorrowful little girl while he sets about on his own quest into the disappearance his son, PeeJay’s dad.
When PeeJay's mother, Jackie, surrenders to the cancer destroying her body PeeJay feels particularly alone. The only family she has left following her Mother’s death are Jackie's mother Margaret, who is not a particularly affectionate grandma and Josiah, Logan's dad.
Why her father abandoned PeeJay and her mother when they needed him the most continues to distress the youngster as she grows into her teens and on into adulthood and prepares to take over the family publishing business.
Each year on her birthday PeeJay receives a lovely bouquet, and a card signed love Daddy.
Over time PeeJay starts to comprehend all is not quite as may be thought at first glance. A carton jam-packed with her long absent father's possessions when his desk at the publishing house was emptied begins to disentangle a little of the mystery.
Peejay Novak had had no inkling her father might just vanish when she and her parents made that fateful weekend trip to the mountains. Logan Novak’s absence seems even more acute more than a decade later when memorable dreams send Peejay on a pursuit to locate her father.
PeeJay is young, inexperienced, alone and afraid when she begins to really dig into her past; her evocative nightmares coupled with the lingering distress regarding the disappearance of her father serve to push her get the matter behind her so that she will be able to face the future and live her own life rather than living in the past and pondering where and why.

The pain young PeeJay feels is intense, her growing wisdom that something is not quite right lures The Reader straight into the account and holds attention fast right on to the end of the book.

The tale is one of great wealth, deceit, despair and sadness along with being the account of one woman's hunt for the truth and eventually some quietude. Especially, it is an anecdote of discovery of self as PeeJay views the publishing empire she controls, and searches for answers to the missing pieces of the puzzle of her life.
Along the way she retains and assesses old relationships, she makes some enemies. With the help of author Elizabeth Briteful and Detective PD Lichtor she discovers her desirability and preferences, and eventually discovers herself and unravels her tapestry of dreams.
Pair the quick pace employed by William Manchee in his Stan Turner series with the affable group of actors found on the pages of Christine Spindler's Inspector Terry series for an inkling of the admirable reading to be found in Claudia McCants Dream Tapestry.
Writer McCants has packed her pages with realistic, well developed characters who might well be people you have confidence that you may have met them. Dream Tapestry is a nicely written, adroitly crafted account certain to entertain the most discriminating reader.
While Dream Tapestry is a captivating page-turner it may not be for everyone, it is sure to please the target audience of readers who do enjoy a good mystery tinged with a touch of what if, and if only.
I enjoyed the intriguing read, happy to recommend for the target audience of Young Adult, and older readers who enjoy a good thriller with a bit of chill.
