Hundreds of Thousands of Sightings
Yes, according to the author of the book, Abominable Snowmen Legend Come to Life, Ivan T. Sanderson, there have been over the millenniums hundreds of thousands of sightings of Bigfoot-type creatures, and that all over the world. So why can’t the existence of this animal be substantiated, logged in as a real life form and we all get on with our lives? One has to believe the world is just not looking hard enough to find these creatures.
I enjoy the website Oregonbigfoot.com. I typed in the name of the owner of the site, Autumn Williams, and found a Blog where she led a group searching for the animal. Ms. Williams claims to have seen a Bigfoot when she was three, with her mother. And now she is very interested in the animal, and has amassed much information that is on her website. She says on the site that if you join as a paying member ($4.95 a month) you can have information that 90% of, has not been recorded anywhere else.
I guess I have come to believe that those having information that can prove the animal exists are simply withholding it in order to benefit from it. Or, the animal is just very good at keeping to his world, the deep dark woods. Although, if you do much researching you will quickly find that these animals have been sighted close-in, one even foraging in a dumpster behind a mall.
That brings me to our two children’s books on Bigfoot that my husband, Christopher Perry, and I have just published, (one of the books is based on the above sighting at a mall dumpster). The books are short, 62 pages, and are loosely based on sightings that I’ve read about on the internet. Since my husband works fulltime and can help me only on the weekends, I’ve charged ahead with the books. I’m also writing and illustrating a third children’s Bigfoot book entitled, The Little Red Car and Bigfoot. Many have asked about the sequel to our Viking Age novel, Forced Blood The Norseman. The story is written and we are busy polishing it for publication. The sequel’s title is Iron Hearts
Please let me know of your sightings. I will not publish your name. It is widely believed that many, many sightings are simply not reported. Just an aside, in Canada, more and more reports of sightings by more than one person are showing up in local papers.
Until next week, Linda.
