I wrote what is now submission one of “The Midnight Skulker” about three years ago knowing how to start the story – just about as I started it – and how I wanted to end “The Midnight Skulker”. Only problem was, for the last three years I didn’t know how to get from start to end.

The “Midnight Skulker being a shadowy character created by Johnny Hart in the "B.C." comic strip that first appeared in syndication in 1958.

 At age seventy-seven as of August 2011, I have been finding original writing to be a bit difficult as words do not seem to come as easily as they had in the past.

However, Elysium Fields was meant to be a five or six part submission and it ended as a twenty-six part submission and, to tell the truth, I absolutely loved writing it because I had no idea where the story was going as I let the characters take me to places and situations as, opposed to me, the writer, taking the characters to places and situations… What fun!

Actually the name of this story is “Peaches and The Midnight Skulker” but that is too long a title for the Authors Den name line and if the end of this story goes as I planned, lo, those three years ago, you will know why this name.

I say, “ ‘if’ the story goes as planned” because, as of now I have no idea what is going to happen between Skulker 1 and Skulker…? As Marsha and Mitchell and their four children and Great Dane dog are going to go where they want to go, and do as they want to do, and whatever happens will be as much a surprise to me as to you.

If Skulker brings us to "flashbacks" taken from "Becoming" and/or "For Better or Worse" so be it.

Oh, and for those that followed Elysium Fields because of the sex, there ain’t going to be any XXX rated graphic sex… Well, there ain’t going to be any graphic sex… Well, there ain’t going to be any sex…

Oh, okay, already! Maybe a little sex.
