We, the people that have elected you are watching you, and this we promise! We’ll be seeing you at the next election!
To you sluggards:
The United States Postal Service was established in 1775 and you’ve had 234 years to get it right and the United States Postal Service is broke.
You established Social Security seventy-four years ago and Social Security is broke.
You established Fannie Mae seventy-one years ago and Fanny Mae is broke.
You started the "War on Poverty" forty-five years ago and have confiscated a trillion dollars of our money each year to give to the “poor” and the “War on Poverty” hasn’t worked and now our entire country is heading to bankruptcy.
You established Medicare and Medicaid forty-four years ago, and Medicare and Medicaid are broke.
You established Freddie Mac thirty-nine years ago and Freddie Mack is broke.
You’ve squandered trillions of dollars of our money in the massive political payoffs called TARP, the "Stimulus", and the Omnibus Appropriations Act of 2009... none of which show even the remotest sign of working, although ACORN seems to have developed a new source for money: us, the American taxpayer.
You began "Cash for Clunkers" in 2009. "Cash for Clunkers" took cars, most of which were the best that people could afford, and replaced them with high-priced and less-affordable cars, mostly Japanese; meaning the major percentage of the profits went out of the country, and, guess what? Once again we, the American taxpayers took the hit for the generosity of you sluggards in burning three billion more of our dollars on your failed experiments.
So now, with a perfect 100% failure rate with a record that proves that the "services" you sluggards shove down our throats are failing faster and faster, now! Now you want Americans to believe you can be trusted with a government-run health care system that you yourselves have politically, because you can, opted out of.

1. The USPS (under a Republican Congress & the Bush Admin) was required to fund their retirement system with $75 billion, but they were given just 10 years in which to raise the money. It was an impossible task for the sole purpose of trying to get rid of the USPS so that FedEx, UPS and others could take over without competition.
2. Social Security was OK until Congress raided it and literally stole $4.8 trillion from its Trust Fund in order to give the money to their favorite programs. Crying about SS being broke is like shooting your parents and then crying that you are an orphan.
3. Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac got creamed in the grand scheme that guaranteed all banks could sell mortgages to them and let the banks off the hook (another Republican scheme). The result: Banks approved loans to everyone, even engaged in predatory lending to sell worthless mortgages to Sallie and Freddie.
OK, that's enough for now. It's too bad you don't even try to back up your assertions with facts. At your age, you should know better.
The United States Postal Service serves all Americans, and, like the REA (rural electrification administration) provides mail to everyone without charging extra because they live in remote, hard to get to, places. Private companies, funneling their profits to their shareholders and CEOs, like FedEx recently dropped small parcel deliveries, can deny service to anyone or charge extra for difficult deliveries. Faced with a recent shipping charge, the lowest cost of several options was the US postal service's priority mail.
Social Security is not broke. Those of us that worked, paid into it, and are receiving the benefit designed for Depression-era retirees who died 15 years earlier than us. We should not complain. Congress decided to siphon off money from Social Security to fund the Bush wars. You seem to forget that.
Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac took advantage of deregulation and greed to help destroy the regulated real estate and banking economy… The primary causes of our economic malaise is because the rich and the guilty greedy have not been punished.
Medicare and Medicaid are not broke. The deregulated health care system with phenomenal growth and profits is broke. Obamacare provides insurance (private insurance, not socialized medicine) to all citizens, thus providing preventive medicine and regulating ridiculous duplication and highly selective healthcare for the rich. Currently, about half the population no longer has work-related insurance unlike your time when most factory workers had it in the 1950s.
The greatest benefits of the “cash for clunkers” program is conveniently overlooked in these arguments. Many dangerous automobiles were removed from the road. We no longer have greasy oil slicks down the middle of every freeway lane and emissions in the cities are much reduced, improving the health of all of the residents. Gasoline consumption is also lower, lowering cost at the pump. The program literally saved the American automobile industry with an infusion of cash regardless of Japanese competition.
Yes, I've got nuts! And balls, too. I'm not swayed by bigotry and outdated values dragging our country into a South American plutarchy of very rich and very poor. Greed never made anyone happy. Why should we foster it? What do all these deniers think they will do that is better for the poor who have no healthcare, no money to pay for it, and die in the streets for lack of a single treatment? Are charities going to take up the slack? I doubt it. What you are rooting for is a lose, lose scenario leading to cultural revolution similar to the Civil War. Do you really want that? I don't.
