See that little girl in the back row. She is in open view because the front row ends one person to her left. She is so tiny her droopy pants show below her dress line. Her hand is on her heart and she is standing at perfect attention.
That little girl is me!
My hand was over my heart and my heart was swelled as big as the moon. I was saluting the American Flag. In my three-year-old dialogue I was thinking, “Wow. My country is great. My country is super. It loves me. It protects me. It lets me say what I think.”
You don’t think that I knew that at three? Think again. I don’t remember my first patriot surge. It has always been there.
I still have it. I still love America, but I am disillusioned! I see America changing. She is changing to accommodate anything, anybody, any deed. She has put me on the back row, but this time you can’t see me. The world is in front of me. It won’t stand aside or accommodate me. It doesn’t care if it suffocates me.
My country is forgetting me. My country is focused on world pleasing - pleasing the world’s dictators who don’t care about me, pleasing enemies who want to kill me, pleasing big business who wants to deplete me, and most of all, pleasing white-coat criminals who choose to use me.
Maybe you don’t understand this. Maybe you have never seen the white-coat criminals in action. To give you a clue, to help you understand the process, please sit down just a moment. Focus on someone you love. Is it your spouse, your child, your mother or father? Or is it a wonderful friend that saved your life or just made a difference.
Picture this person’s face. Feel the passionate love in your heart. Focus on your personal pledge to protect them, serve them, and love them. Imagine your loved one desperately ill looking up at you.
You feel the horror of his illness. It is unexpected. It is premature. But you will prevail. You will give him devotion and all that you have. The sicker he becomes the more his eyes look up to you, reflecting adoration, trust, and thanks for you.
But you are in a torture chamber my friend because the white-coats want him dead! They are thinking of the money they will get. So you suffer too as you watch them abuse and violate him. Hallucinations appear before you as you fight with all your strength. They are no longer white-coats, but vultures, attacking the weakest among the fold.
Refusing your screams for mercy they begin their grisly work. Giving “comfort-care” the credit for their vile hands, they over-drug your loved one, refuse to check his catheter line, let moisture collect in his throat, and say ‘no’ when he begs for a morsel of food to eat.
You scream, threaten, and beg for help while he is staggering, falling, filling up with urine, choking, crying, and begging for food!
But they have an agenda and they have the upper hand. They are a ’team’. They lie to you. They keep records from you. They manipulate and scheme to destroy you and your friend. It doesn’t really matter who is in the way of their agenda. They will just bulldozer through.
Then it is over. Your friend has looked up to you for the last time. The white-coats have won. They succeeded in violating and abusing your friend to his death.
Go home now. Celebrate! Look in the mirror at your own face and tell yourself, “That was a wonderful experience.” Don’t pine. Don’t fret. Forget it and let it go. Everyone dies. He was no different; he is in a better place.
You must do this even if it doesn’t fit. The whole world expects it because they don’t know. They didn’t see the tears. They didn’t see the suffering at the white-coats hands. They don’t understand where you have been. They don’t believe you. They don’t care. It hasn’t happened to them - - - yet!
I’m still the little girl on the back row. I still love my country. But I cry for her now. Yes, my friend is in a better place, but his enemies still linger here - - and they have a license to kill.
My friend is no longer in danger, but I worry for you now!
