This Is What I Want - week 4

This article is about me as an individual, and my wants and beliefs as an independent thinker. Someone who is dedicated to an archaic belief that our forefathers intended for each of us to be, as Christians, and strongly religious people of any faith believing in a single God, righteous people with a deep regard for God, family, country and our fellow man. Or even Agnostics and Atheists with the same value base.
Now Then,
Here is what I believe, in no particular order of importance, and without regard to another’s beliefs or with any desire whatsoever to try to persuade you or anyone else to change over to what I believe.
What I am saying here is what, if I had the power to do, I would. Without a care for you or your own personal interests. Let’s talk about disappointment for week 4
Yes disappointment, not really what I might have wanted for week #4 but nonetheless, what I must write about. You see, I am certainly a conservative, and some of the things, actually most of the things, I have written about these last three weeks are things that are easy for me to discuss, but I must say, I actually expected to hear by way of reviewing or by way of messaging, some discourse favoring other opinions.
Unfortunately, though all of the three articles received a good number of hits, meaning they were actually read by a good many people, they actually engendered not one negative or positive response. I find that very interesting, especially for a community of writers.
Aren’t we writers supposed to be curious about how others think? Aren’t we supposed to have opinions about what or how others think what they think? Are we not enraged when somebody says something antithetically opposed to what we think? Do we no longer have the passion to defend or at least state our opinions?
This is supposed to be a forum. Forums generally, in the past at least, mean we join in them to participate in some sort of social discourse. As writers we’re not supposed to read passively without some passion about something. There is no place in writing where political correctness should be less wanted than here in this forum. As students of opinion and life we need to constantly inform ourselves and then question each other. Isn’t that how we learn?
Or have we become robots of what the state tells us is our opinions?
Probably week 5 will be much too contoversial. So, perhaps I’d better not write anything, I certainly wouldn’t want to create anything that would demand someone to actually call me out for my outlandish opinions.
