The Naked Truth and Other Indecent Exposures

A satirical look at the world around us as it pertain to people of color!

We the people blacker than blue....browned, bronzed and baked to different hues of brown, deserve better. Our ancestry is regal and royal, with righteous apples and other fruits of the spirit coloring our existence. I'm often guilty allowing my mind to roam, ramble and raise the consciousness of free thought. Those things we think about at times that may be unattainable, unfathomable, and just plain stupid in how we position ourselves for any vestige of a definitive defense are suspect. They continue to undermine our better judgment, individually, collectively...and personally. I say this to allow your mind to just wander a bit and think of what you'd want most under circumstances beyond or within your control.

The truth of the matter is, we are all human and we posit and ponder hoping for better leases on life. We wish for more money, a better house, certainly a better mode of transportation, and a bigger biscuit for breakfast to be just that better. But we tend to want to continue to be naked and unprotected. The irony of it all is, we would STILL be without clothes if Eve wasn't deceived, and Adam didn't fall.

We expose ourselves so much, living in such a decadent world, indecent at times, and immoral to the core. We are slaves to carnality, worship idols other than Him, and have rendered our sovereignty to uncontrollable options. Our own lives are rooted to whimsical persuasions much lighter and brighter than we are, dictating our every move not to cover up. We have eyes that see our women baring it all, with the pearly gates to their kingdom exposed and plundered, and we do nothing to dispel status quo. Vagina monologues have long cried out for change, as the heads of state plow deeper and deeper!

The naked truth needs to be clothed and a cover of modesty for enhanced morals to be etched in the fabric of our souls. Decent exposures are the things that we can, and should see to be able to make all of the above not only acceptable, but also expected. If and when, I get my island all to myself, I'll take my perceived paradise, a glass of apple cider, a crossword puzzle, several good books, and peace of mind! Give us then, our due and let the brethren cry out in unison -- "Forgive us, for we KNOW what we do!"

Although well written, I'm not sure I agree with the message. I guess we're coming from different perspectives, starting with I'm one of the people who doesn't wish for bigger or better. I don't think the problem is with some ancient story of Adam and Eve; I believe the problem is with how we choose to look at things today. People go naked in other cultures without thinking there is anything dirty about the human body. I think the pleasure some people get from finding something wrong in everything is why they find something wrong in everything, and our culture needs a huge lesson in seeing what truly exists instead of what we've been conditioned to see. Morals aren't in clothes, they're in the mind. Thanks for making me think about this.
