Measuring Thresholds for Transformation

Allowing new prospectives challenging the need for sustained growth via transforming ideals

Reading this essay, I guess you are wondering what is to be transformed, and what threshold that needs measuring. It’s okay being perplexed by another person’s anxiety without awareness of their situation. Perhaps this essay will give you insight on a personal plight, or even allow you to empathize on my behalf. It is perfectly okay to do so. I will speak personally for the most part, but will be generic when there’s a need where basic understanding would readily reach others for affinity.  However, change is inevitable after living my life so long with all kinds of trials and tribulation triggering angst all across the board. I found myself not measuring up to the standards God set for me…it was easy to second guess good intent in lieu of me finding ways keeping my head above water. I must admit unfortunately that my spiritual values were compromised simply because I didn’t embrace anything that was taught to me otherwise. Time and time and timing are synonymous with challenging the giants that towered above me, Linger long enough with Christian mores in your midst and there’s no choice but to find other options doing the right thing. The Holy Spirit is like that—when you least expect it you’ll get a visit casting doubt on all of your perceived problematic issues. When crossing any line of demarcation I used one word as a definitive measure for better direction. I called it thresholds. Thresholds in this sense are those in-between moments when I’m on the verge of allowing change to finally give me new leases on life for transformation. I’m ready, for sure. Whether we are walking across an actual threshold or a metaphorical one, sometimes understanding is not there to fathom directional fortitude. In these times of passage thresholds might not be all that they are made to be…and I’m not being pessimistic but concerned about being apprehensive so to speak whether the right direction is where I’m headed. I’d be the first to admit that we need some measure of thresholds in the Christian life—spaces to stop, look and listen and be welcomed for new horizons. It’s a life that isn’t meant to be a steady and always a comfortable means of a trouble-free life. The enemy sees to it that that is a norm. I’m asking myself what are the ways and means for successful transformation…how can I be galvanized protecting me from failure? Where do I start?

Yes, I need new windows and doorways visualizing opportunity in my transformation so that my faith can mature. The thresholds I talk about here will provide me with perspective experiences I am sure to face. Below you will see my attempts giving clarity to my being transparent for meaningful transformation:

  • Fashioning A Closer Walk with Jesus—this is all about taking in consideration all the illustrations Biblically-speaking, how He dealt with doubt and catastrophe staying true to form.
  • Reexamining Faith Initiatives—it is easy for apostasy to cause one to falter. I want the changes for me to manifest destiny
  • Staying Out of Harm’s Way—this is self-explanatory. I will need better positioning for time management to work on my behalf by staying focused on my journey.
  • Developing Positive Outlooks on Life—if change is par for my course, then I need to eschew all vestiges of negativism and doubt. It’s all about being uplifted on the anticipated joy of being on the right prospects of the Good Life!
  • Emboldening the Wherewithal of Enhancing, Self, Family and Community—this aspect says it all. The culmination of all that I want out of my transformation are for these entities to illustrate how far I’ve come, or need aspiration for.

Nothing about change that would be effective if there’s no susceptibility for failure. God will allow it to happen just making sure He has our attention. I am a firm believer that He uses physical things, and psycho-social angst via pandemics, including our own bodies ushering us across the threshold of His kingdom. I know we are in the wilderness where the End Times are pronounced for Revelation to be much more than mere revealing, but being adamant in prophecy. I want to make my election and call a testament and testimony relative to my intent. I’m more than ready to cross my threshold for transformation. Watch me as I grow!
