Star Trek has been an inspiration for 50 years. Therefore, the actor who played this intrepid star ship captain - Captain Kirk - deserves to have his day!

And on this day, I would venture Mr. Spock would wish us all to -
I saw that Twilight Zone episode, too, Ron. William Shatner was so funny as Denny Crane on Boston Legal. As for Maurice - imitation is the greatest form of flattery. :)
I'll always recall one of the few Twilight Zone episodes that I remember vividly with Shatner as the passenger in a window seat sees a gremlin on the wing of the airplane and can't seem to get anyone else to see it. He took that little bit and turned it into a career highlighted by the hard talking Capt. Kirk. It is remarkable that he was able to leave that character and move and all the other venues he's worked.
As for Maurice, I watched him at the helm of that land bound space machine spouting Shatner-isms while driving. Unlike Shatner in Star Trek, I think the big wreck he and his ship has coming while doing such stunts, will not have him being re-created through cloning or a wormhole.
